LOL Julz, I think its just you are more talented than me:) James is also a lightweight - I actaully went to see my paed (for the 2nd time in James life) a few weeks ago because I was a bit concerned about his growth. He said its probably because its so busy but gave me forms for blood tests. I've decided to wait till his 18month injections/check up and if he still hasnt gained sufficiently I'll traumatise him with the blood draw then... (he is now 16 months and only just over 9kgs)

I work with the Babywearing Association of SA www.ba-sa.org, and the carriers on our site are the easiest to use, and are all designed to make babywearing comfy and rewarding for both mom and baby. Its such an awesome thing to wear your child!

The Babysense one is actually not ideal for any stage past newborn, and even then, its not a "safe" option. Definitely rather go with the R&C one... Check more about babywearing here clayjarpeople.co.za/category/babywearing/

Maybe I failed to mention that Dylan weighed 8.3kg at a year so that may be why it was so comfy.

I just wanted to mention that those carriers (Like the kango, the jeep etc...) are really not good for a babys back and hips (I say that having one). My husband uses my kango when we out now that James is bigger, but the mobiwraps or meiteis are much better if you want one of those type carriers (I use a meitei now, but my hubby cant figure out how to tie it:) In the beginning I had a ringsling which I bought in the UK which I loved (Julz, I could never get comfy with James on my hip:( )

I can really vouch for the Jeep pouch. We used ours from REALLY early for more than a year. My husband LOVED it - it's more "manly" than most others, and he felt good wearing it - so he carried our child EVERYWHERE. This picture will make you laugh - we're out walking on a freezing cold day. The jeep pouch is under there somewhere!!! www.hadden.co.za/rubyguccoutwalking/photo142.html
We would shop like this too - which meant hubby could push the trolley AND carry baby!!
