How soon can I pierce my baby girl?

Had my LG's eras pierced at 8 months and she was 100% fine, cried for a minute and then it was all over. They don't bother her at all and she has had no infections or anything

I think that any permanent, painful and possibly traumatic cosmetic bodily modifications should only be done when a child can ask for them, and they're appropriate, and the child understands what it entails.

I think babies and children are so beautiful as they are and don't need jewellery, frills, flowers and things. For me it detracts from their natural beauty.

I also know that I hate sleeping with earrings in because they are so uncomfortable, and I always worry when I see a baby with pierced ears that she can't tell anyone if her earrings are uncomfortable or hurting her.

I pierced my LG wen she was 4.5months, she just cried when they put them on ( think from the sound of the gu) and was ok after that.
Just need to clean the area daily with Surgical spirit and twist the ear-rings around for maybe 7days.

with older (some) kids, they cry more and keep touching the piercing which can lead to infections.

Do it at a reputable place (Pharmacy/Clinic/etc)

Hi Sunrise, I pierced my LG at 4 months exactly, asked advise from peadiatric nurse and she said it'd be ok from 4 months. Got one of those sterilized pair of earrings and we've not had any problems at all.

I spoke to a mom who had her daughter pierced at 2 months.

The baby will cry, not sure from pain or the sound of the piercing gun but it'll be over before you know it.
