Hi Nicole

I would also be paranoid about it. I would address the letter from the standpoint that you asked about this when you enrolled him and therefore, what they told you and what is happening is different.

Also, stress the safety concerns, tell them that you are worried that the dog may harm one of the kids, and that in the case that this happens, they would be responsible.

Its not reasonable for them to tell your 2 year old to stay away, because he does not see any threat.

Good luck xx

Hi Ladies

Flip i am so annoyed with my LB's creche at the moment and I am about to write a long letter to them.

okay so my LB creche is based within a residential property, there is a main house where the Owner of the Creche parents live and where she has her office and then the back of the property (its a huge piece of land) is divided into 3 classrooms for the age groups and 3 seperate playareas - all done very nicely etc, my problem with the school now is that the Owner of the schools parents have a boerboer dog that comes into the playarea of the kids and then my LB's teacher mentioned last week that my LB loves to hug the dog, now call me paranoid etc but i definatly DO NOT want my child hugging this dog as i do not know his temprement etc, i am TERRIFIED that my LB is going to hug him at the wrong time and then this dog bites him. I have spoken to all the teachers/assistants and told them that they must not let my LB near the dog which they say yes to but in the next breath tell me that my LB likes to let the dog out, I said to her then disipline my son by sending him to time out etc to that he understands that he is not allowed to do that.

When i went to look at the creche at the beginning of this year and i saw the dog i asked the principle that if it would be seperated from the children and she said yes.

Any advice as to what you would add into the letter that i am going to address her and all the staff members?
