I feel you. Our little girl had worms a few months back. The vermox was used to treat pinworm in our case and it did worm. But like mamas said there are other kinds.
Take lo to your dr and describe the worm - haha this one falls under one of the embarrassing topics!!!
Our little girl had none from the mouth only the other end.
If you're unsure of what you saw, ask paed give you a sterile container so that you can collect a stool sample and they can test it for you.
I took my little girl to the ER because it was ofcourse a sunday. He gave me 2 pills one on the day which we hastily all gulped down and one for about a week later or 2 weeks later. He said because quite often there are still eggs and then they hatch and viola, it starts all over again.
The monday I took her to her paed just to make sure and to calm my mommy nerves and she told me not to take the other one, as they are strong, but rather do a stool sample and then take it from there. Luckily stool sample - clear.
Hers were tiny white thread-like worms.
Change bedding and pjs daily and wash on high.

Yes, vermox is useless for certain types of worms. Defnitely get a script for a broad spectrum one. It would help if you could take a sample of the worm to the doctor then they would know for sure what you are dealing with.

I've heard of worms coming out of children's noses - but I thought it was an indication of a heavy infestation. If they can come out of your nose they can come out of your mouth. I agree that a visit to a doctor is probably on the cards. Hopefully it was just one stray worm. Good luck.

I think that sounds quite serious ( ie the worn out the mouth) if I were you, I would go get it checked out by a Dr,

I know the Vermox only kills certain worms and if its another type, it may not work for him,

Ok ladies, so i suspected that my son has worms, on Moday i bought the vermox single dose and gave it to him, now last night 1 worm comes out of his mouth. Should i be worried, we have never had worms, now i am worried about this. Also last he woke me up 6 times to go to the loo and it was like he drank too much, he gets half glass of milk after his supper that's like around 7.
