file Baby burn on the hand- 2nd degree

Hello Mommies

Am posting here because since Moomie has changed, there isn't a baby thread anymore, only a toddler one?

Anyway, my lb of 8months got burnt yesterday on his hand. We were braaiing on a Cobb and my hubby put it out of reach when we were done braaiing. Then later my mother inlaw picked Michael up and went to sit next to the Cobb (which was blazing hot) and my hubby warned her about the cobb and then Michael put his palm flat on the lid :( Poor sausage cried so hard he forgot to breathe  The more I told my mil to not apply ice the more she did  So that obviously made it worse. I eventually got so upset that I said I will put nappy cream on. He has been very niggly all night last night and this morning too.

His upper palm is one big blister and this morning I noticed his fingers are blistered too  when we got home last night I applied sudocrem and gave ponstan. I later got preparation H and sbr cream from the pharmacy. And I have lightly bandaged his hand and applied a sock.

Is there anything else I can do? We are taking him to the gp at 9.45am.

We are going away on holiday on Friday and don't want him going away with infection or something :(
