eczema! eczema! om her scalp plz help

Sorry to hear of your little girl's discomfort. I have heard that a LOT of babies are allergic to J&J, especially the Top to Toe. In Antenatal class our midwife actually advised not to use it since she she has had to deal with a lot of cases of cradle cap and eczema if mom's used this product.

She also advised coconut oil, or even olive oil to use for cradle cap, and exactly as Marijke said, dont use anything but normal water with a few drops of baby oil to bath. If you HAVE to wash hair, use Elizabeth Annes (the pink, soap free shampoo, looks like a lotion) and only wash hair once a week.

If it really is eczema though, it would be better to get something (a cream specifically for skin allergies) from your pharmacy or GP to clear it up quickly, to minimize her discomfort.

My little one is 7 months old now and I don't use anything except water on her really when taking a bath, I sometimes add a bit of oil in the water. I'll only use a wet cloth on her head, they really don't get dirty enough.

I have read that salt baths take the itch away and 100% pure coconut oil would be better to use than anything you can buy in the baby isle.

My lil girl raylene is now 2months old and we have been batteling with ecema for a month now! At first we thought is was cradel cap but upoon ferther investigation and using wrong products her poor baby scalp is now red end so sensitive! We used cradel cap cream from dischem and washed her hair with J&J. I now realise ok she has to be alergic to jj because since we've been using it the eczema is worse. Very worse!

Her poor scalp looks burnt and is super sensitive. I've thought about using epizone A on her hhair as a cream just to sooth the burning and itching. Will this be advisable!

And starting tomorrow I'm only bathing baby raylene in epiizone.

Is there any other product you could recomend to treat her red scalp? And other baby products to use?
