There is no cortisone in the Oilatum - it is truly an amazing product... Also a bit expensive but not as effective as the SBR - which we also used, nor the Eucerin - which we have also tried...

All the best with your search!

Thanks so much. I am going to have a look at Dishcem again today in an effort to find out what works best for my boy. So far I have been using Epi Max - recommended by my pediatrician and then when it gets really bad, SBR Repair cream, which is quite expensive and you just buy over the counter.

I wash him with elizabeth anne's aqueous cream which makes no difference but it doesn't make it worse. No oils, no soaps, all this just makes it flair up like crazy! I can't even use baby shampoo on his hair, so I wash that with aqueous too. I will definitely have a look for glycerine soap or a cream cleanser at dischem and see if that improves his skin's condition.

Only as a last resort do I use the steroid/ aqueous mix prescribed by the doctor to clear it up. I can only use that 3 - 5 days at a time so that is why I am desperately searching for products to use in his daily routine that will help stabilise his condition and relieve the symptoms.

Hi there Widget

My kids have suffered from eczema from birth... The Pure range of products is awesome for everyday use... They have a cream cleanser to clean with, but if you prefer sopa like i do their glycerine sooap is awesome. It doesnt irritate the skin at all.

When the eczema does flare up i use Oilatum products from Dischem - they have a soap, bath emollient and wonderful cream! It cleared up both girls eeczema in the space of 2 weeks... See the pics attached... She had scratched it so it was bleeding and scabbing...

This is how it looks now...

The Oilatum truly is amazing, and this without resorting to cortisone...

Hi there,
I started to use ENJO Products (Edelweiss) for my son. It is Fibre cloths. I don't use any soaps on his skin and his excema is gone. I really adores ENJO, My husband had bad excema as well and his skin is silky soft. He said yesterday, he believes that ENJO works!!! If you would like more info , you are welcome to email me on elrike@enjoclean.co.za or whatsapp 082 414 1416.
