I have also not heard of Dr Mapunda, do you perhaps know where she practices?

I can confirm about Sandton Medi clinic, I have also heard from some unaffiliated medical professionals that it is one of the best (if not the best) in the country for paediatric problems. Unless it is a heart condition, then the best specialists are at Sunninghill, as the have the specialized paediatric cardio unit there.

Hi everyone

My newborn has to have a minor surgery at 6 weeks and my paediatrician has put me in touch with Dr Mapunda for the surgery. However Ive never heard of her and dont see her name come up as a recommended surgeon anywhere.

Has anyone heard of her?

Can anyone recommend a paediatric surgeon in Joburg? I've heard good things about the surgeons at Sandton Medi Clinic.
