Hi there Leageorge
Each babies are different. A lot of parents say their kids start teething @ about 3/4 months because of excess drooling & everything that goes into the mouth BUT that is also the stage where they start exploring things with their hands & mouth.
You will see what spots under the gums when the teething starts but can take a month or longer for the teeth to cut through.
Some moms swear by the Amber Teething Necklace & some don't. It is trial & error to find something that will help.
You can buy teething toys that you put in the fridge that can relieve some pain. Pansoral gel (which doesn't contain harmful ingredients) that you can rub on the gums, cold face cloth of baby, rubber teething rings & then Cerene Baby teething powder which also contains natural safe ingredients. Just search them on fb. It costs R50 for 2 sachets which you use every 6 hours.
You can also give some panado, nurofen or calpol when they very very miserable.
