Worrying father. Baby's eyes

It is completely normal. Yet another set of muscles that needs to develop and strengthen.

On average babies stop crossing their eyes around 3 months old, though my son only stopped at 4 months old. I would say you only need to start worrying if her eyes are still crossing when she's 6 months old, before that the muscles just need to strengthen and it's totally normal for them to cross.

If it persists for longer than 6 months, then you can take your baby to an ophthalmologist for a consult. This was the advice given to us by our gp.

At exactly 6 months we went to the ophthalmologist. Nothing was wrong, just extra skin at the eyelids. After a few more months, his eyes looked normal.

Not to worry - its perfectly normal. Just run your hands over their eyes, as if closing their eyes, when you do see it happening!

Completely normal for that age.

Newborn eyes are commonly crossed or at least appear that way. That's because some babies are born with extra folds of skin in the inner corners of their eyes, giving them a cross-eyed appearance. As babies grow, the folds disappear — as does that cross-eyed look.

It only sometimes start disappearing when they are 3 months old.

According to my knowledge it is normal. It should pass until the muscles have strenghten ( I do not know how long it takes)

Could anyone please help a worrying father? My 3 week old daughter has this strange thing of crossing her eyes now and then, is this normal or should I be concerned. If its the latter what kind of docter should I take her to. Please help.
