Bennets colic mixture

My little girl had terrible colic (from 16:00 to 22:00 daily), we tried everything, and Bennets didn't work for us at all. We ended up using an herbal product my neighbor gave me (I forgot the name, but it was manufactured in the USA and not available here). After it ran out, we researched the ingredients and it turned out chamomile was the main ingredient.

After that, we gave our daughter weak chamomile tea (about 2.5 - 5 ml) throughout the day, and that really seemed to have the best results for us.

I know I'm a bit late... But have you read the side effects etc on the Bennett's leaflet thingy? I am not overly paranoid in general, but after reading it I decided I'd try avoid giving Charlotte Bennett's if I could.

We've tried Bonnycare and something called Colic Calm which works really well and is natural. Not easy to find though and costs around R300 a bottle.... But really works!

i agree momtoc, i tried the bennetts on my boy when he was 10weeks, he would fall asleep immediatley and that was under 2ml dosage.

I have no idea what the recommended dosage is but I would rather opt for something more natural as the Bennets mixture contains alcohol in and I know a lot of mothers would argue against this and say the alcohol is minimal but it is enough to effect a tiny baby.

You can maybe look into Iberogast - 6 drops, 3x daily in a little bit of water or Spasmopep

Bonnicare is apparently also very good.

Does anyone know the maximum dosage recommended per day for a month old baby? I just want to make sure I don't overdose my baby.
