file What to look for in a creche

All of the above and also

- Do they have a "curriculum" or developmental plan for babies based on the stages of development?
- their attitude and policy towards discipline - make sure it is the same as yours.
- Don't make appointments to visit potential creches, just make contact in general and then go there at any time, that way you see what really happens.
- Also find out if your child will have access to extramural activities at the creche (later on) such as ballet, or monkeynastix or maths or any other others that would interest you.
- What you also need to look at is what the attitude and influence of religion is and if it is the same as yours.

Make up a checklist for yourself but yes, above all, trust your gut, You'll know!

Replied by Nadia on topic What to look for in a creche
Security features, qualifications of staff, general cleanliness of environment, space for outside play that's secure, general happiness of other kids, how receptive they are to unannounced visitors, size of classrooms, caregiver to baby ratio, policies on potty training, feeding times and adherence to schedule vs baby individual needs. Is there a nurse on site? First aid qualifications, etc etc

Most of all, trust your gut.

Hi All :-)

I am considering putting my little girl (6 months) in a creche. Please let me know what you look for when considering a potential creche.

Thanks
