Do you have to go back to work?

I started work on the 4th of September after 3 months Maternity Leave. I really missed work even though i was lucky enough to work from home. Personally i would go insane if i had to quit my job. Don't get me wrong, i miss my little person and love him to bits, but happy mommy = happy baby and a happy daddy. After a stressful day you get to see that little person and it makes everything better. My little man is staying at a day mother, i also know her personally so my heart is at ease. He is happy and he is enjoying it, everyone talks to him so he is entertained =)

Personally i do not think that if i had to quit my job that we could actually afford it. I mean i bought the basics for my little man at clicks and it was R900. That means one packet of nappies, bum cream, new dummies etc.
We do not buy fancy things for him, really just the basic necessities. It is crazy what everything costs. I am actually keeping all my slips that I spend on baby items, i must still add it to my spread sheet. So when baby no. 2 comes i will be prepared and will have enough money saved for the necessities.

Or did you give up a job you loved because you wanted to be a stay-at-home mom? Can you even afford it in today's day and age?

Yah the idea of going back to work is saddening. In as much as I love my job going to work when baby is only 3 months old just breaks my heart. I go back on the 2nd of October. Baby will be looked after by our nanny
