Hi girls, I only use homeopathic stuff for my little one, and now and then a bit of panado. He had a fever the other day (for the first time at about 10 months!!) and I had to go buy nurofen as I don't own anything for fewer (except the homeopathic stuff...)
For anything with mucous ie runny nose etc, you use nr 5 tissue salt.
Nr 4 is for inflamation so I normally use it with nr 5 for colds. It helps for any kind of inflamation.
Nr 8 is great for any spasms, headaces and period pains, it also helps for a easier childbirth.
Nr 1 is for tissue elasticity so if you get little sores in the corner of you mouth during winter or dry skin or stretch marks, use nr 1 daily.
While pregnant use nr 2 daily, it helps you carry baby to term.
There is a little book about all the tissue salts, it written by Margaret Roberts and called something with like tissue salts for healthy living (i think...) You can get it at Dischem for under R120.
The Natura tissue salts costs about R25 per bottle and there is about 120 pills in a bottle so it lasts a while. But you can use any brand, they are all the same. I think the blue ones are made by Weleda.
I also use Natura Pentagen drops, its great!! Add Natura Gripless drops if baby has an acute cold (just once a day will do).
Echinaforce drops can be used from a young age in moderation. If you want to use it daily as an immune booster, use 1 drop a day. I just use it as I see a cold coming, then I use 1 drop per bottle of milk, and not longer than 3 days. After a year you can use more, they reccomend 1 drop per year of child up to 10 drops for everyone over 10. So if kiddie is 3 years old, give him 3 drops at a time...
Hope this helps, and please feel free to ask if you need more advice (I was raised on homeopathic stuff) I am not a homeopath, but know a lot of the stuff from experience. If I don't know, I won't guess, I'll just tell you I have no idea...
