Mari, good general recommendation to ask for amber certificate before buying! Lots of fake amber now! Also here is good test : Fake vs Real Amber
Also check if they have knots at each bead, so in the case if necklace broke the beads won't scatter. I bought my from this Amber Teething Necklace Shop, and happy with it.

It really seems to have helped. My son started teething at about 4 months (teeth just moving around in the gums) and he was drooling alot, was very irritable and had runny nappies, so I got him the necklace. Recently, when cutting his two bottom front teeth, it wasn't nearly as bad. I still had to give him something for the pain (could only find Teejel) and on those days when the teeth were coming through I also gave him the odd Ashton and Parson's powder.
