LO is 2,3yrs now and I'm still the primary night walker. And yes, I still have to go to work just like BD does. I gave up a long time ago trying to convince him to help out with night duty and somehow he manages to sleep through LO's crying, I don't know how he does that. But thankfully LO can now sleep through and wakes up only for a wee and back to bed. If I ever have another child, I'll do things differently from day 1.

Klk, when I was on maternity leave I told hubby that its my job all day to look after our baby. And I can't do it if i'm tired or else I get irritated and then i'm not a good mommy. So he helped at night from day one. Looking after a busy kid is as draining (if not more) than any 8 - 5 job! Hubby has to help!!!

I am a stay at home mom and my DH feels that he works during the day so its my job to get up if Connor wakes up during the night. He needs to have a full nights sleep so he is ok for work the next day. He feels that i could sleep the next day. Like that really happens. When Connor sleeps during the day that is my time to clean house and do stuff that cant be done if he is awake. Weekends arent any different either. I still have to get up if Connor wakes.

I envy those women who have hubbies that help out all the time :side:

Our setup is very similar to your Marijke. But once I go back to work hubby will have to get up and night as well. But I'm lucky he doesn't complain about anything although I do often have to nag which I hate doing. Marilu this is very unfair on you. Men just don't get it sometimes. We are not superwoman who can function on not enough sleep!

Ja Marilu, let us know how it went. Because N still sleeps with us, it is also a do or die situation. Hubby normally wakes up as well when she wakes up.
