Is she not just struggling with bit of separation anxiety?? (normal for the 9-11month age group) It might be worth having one or two nights of when she wakes up going in and settling her with a hand on her (so she knows you are there for her) rather than giving in and co sleeping. But no I dont think its too late to introduce a security object like a taglet:)

Lee I believe it's never too late to introduce something to try and make your life easier! You will maybe just have to take a little time to let her get used to the idea of the taglet being her "comfort"

Donno if anyone still opens this topic, I hope they do. I really need help here.

lately my LG does not want to sleep on her own. I used to let her sleep with us then move her to her cot when she's fast asleep. Now she wants someone next to her, she keeps waking up and feeling around for someone and she wants to feel skin if she doesnt find someone she wakes up. so at night she sleeps holding on to my hand or touching my face. We are not used to co-sleeping, and it is not nice co-sleeping with her coz she moves around the bed a lot. We wake up tired now coz we dont sleep confortably.

Its been a week now and i dont know how much more of this i can handle.

My question, is it too late to introduce the Taglet at 11 months? She uses a dummy, but it obviously is not enough for her anymore.

I haven't been in since last week i think.
2kidmamma that's interesting. I have realised a strong correlation between my daughters strong sucking desire with winds that bothers her in her stomach. If there's no winds she's as peace, sleeps without waking up too quickly, and she's just calm. So i think, if i don't make it a habit of just giving it to her whenever, once that problem is solved, she won't use it anymore. Which is normally around the time she can sit by herself. So i say, its better to understand why baby is sucking so much and know when to give a pacifier.

So for now its helping. And thanks to it but i pray it won't go over 6 months. At Baby Center they mentioned that Pacifiers can affect baby's speech and teeth if left for over a year. So all the best Zodwa.

Did you know that the soft pallet (The place at the roof of your mouth if you lift your tongue) Is a direct link to the emotional quotient of the brain. A dummy fits just nicely in there and therefore stimulates this place whenever it is in there and that is why it has such a calming effect on your baby. Don't take it away until your baby is ready and no longer needs that constant emotional stimulation.

Baby Sense taglets are available from Baby City. They cost R109. I have two so I can wash one while he uses the other.
