hey there... Gia is still ill. It seems like she is never going to get better. I took her to the homeopath again this morning. Seems like she has an allergy of sorts affecting her eyes and making her nose run constantly and well her cough is just as bad. He has given us a spray to help with it. her cough is so bad that your body vibrates when you hold her. She is miserable and crying if i go out of sight. :S She doesnt even want her dad. She still has no teeth and paed confirmed that she hasnt got to that stage as yet. I hope she has one for her 1st birthday in September!!! :P

Nixie i hope your babes is doing much better! There's nothing worse than not knowing how to help your babe. I feel so useless.

The doc said that if her ears don't seem to be worrying her then they should be fine ie. not rubbing them, or not crying if I touch them.

I'll see how it goes tonight and if she has another rough night then I'll take her tomorrow to see him. He is there half day on a Saturday.

It's just awful when you can't calm them down, especially at night when everything is so quiet, then they just seem extra loud and extra irritable. Oh and, also when Mommy is sick and not feeling well. Oh , an also when it's winter time. Everything seems so much more easier when it's summer.... bring on summer!!!

Nixie, the cold weather can also give the LO's red cheeks.

Have you thought about having your LG checked for an ear infection? Colds can often lead to ear infections which will cause screaming at night time. It's sounds like quite a classic scenario to me. All the fluid build up in the eardrum is causing the pressure and when lying down it's at it's worst. I would have the ears checked out ASAP.

Nixie, how old is your LO? Is there a temprature to go with the red cheeks? Often at the age when teething starts and teeth are coming in one or both cheeks can be blood read for days on end. Not quite sure what causes this. It's funny, it's usually on the side opposite to the side the tooth is cutting on.
