Baby's weight

Shame Julz, know the feeling of stressing about everything! Oh the joys of being a first timer.

May I ask why he was underweight? Was he a prem baby?

Dylan is almost 20 months and weighs 10.4. He still hasn't trippled his birth weight and the stress of having an underweight child is not nice. I don't stress now, but I did the whole of his first year.

Em was 10kg at 6 months. Dr would always tell me she was overweight, but seeing she was exclusivly breastfed till 1 year, I just replied that I would prefer an overweight child to an underweight one.

My LG is 9kg and 73cm

I was going: she was 4.1kg at birth, so not that big, or is she???

I don't worry about it, as she is healthy and active. I study pictures of her and she doesn't look overweight to me (that being said, I am her Mommy and see her through eyes of love)

She's not walking or crawling yet, but active, loud and very awake.

He started walking @ 10 months and hasn't lost any weight. Thanx ladies for your responses.

They usually tripple their birth weight by a year so if baby was large then that is fine. x

My 12 month old weighed 11.7 last time we checked about a month ago. He picks up about 200grams or so a week so I think he weighs about 13, will know next week at his check up. Marijke is right, Im not concerned as he will start loosing all the extra weight when he starts walking
