7 month sailing forward on stomach???

My little man also started sliding forward on his tummy before crawling.. oh how I miss those days now he is walking and busy busy busy....

It's quite normal for them to do this and then crawl backwards. Dylan only crawled at 9 months. It takes time for them to build up strenght.

keep lo out of bumbo seats and walking rings and they will naturally strengthen their musles.


Michael moll said on top billing that he wants to write a book. How to raise your first child like your third. Would be a great book. xxx

Glad to see I am not alone.

I wasn't really worried until it started feeling as if everyone else's LO went straight to crawling. And we say we won't compare....

My LG only started doing this since Monday, and this weekend I will be "babyproofing" the house so long.

My LG does exactly this! And she is 8 months and is rather quick. I think it is a normal part of finding their co-ords... she also makes it onto her hands and knees, but then drops down and pushes herself along. Very very cute.

I am effort to encourage my LG of 7 months to crawl, she started sailing forwards on het stomach. Basically using her legs (mostly just one) to move her body forward.

She does sometimes stand on hand & knees, but then lies flat on her tummy and sails away.

Looks kind of funny, but is really cute. She is starting to follow us around (slowly but surely)

Are there other mom's who's babies "sailed" before crawling? Seems everyone I know started crawling and skipping the sailing part.

And you know our first-timers, worry, worry, worry
