file Chiro's and babies YES OR NO?

Thanks Jaylee - her cough was associated with reflux and not anything else. It was the acid burning her :( I tried the vicks it didnt work on her. Please also mix the vicks with some vaseline to "tone" it down a bit especially for your baby :)

If i tell you all how my chiro has helped my baby ... i am so chuffed. For 2 nights in a row Gia has slept from 630pm till 5am waking only once for her dummy to be put back in her mouth. I have never had so much sleep in all 11 months. I just hope she is on the mend. She is going today for another treatment! He has truly been a blessing to me. I now also understand that there is no such thing as a naughty baby. If they cry something is truly wrong. The problem is trying to find out whats wrong with them.

Mothers intuition is the best i tell you!

Lata, i typed a response to you to, but it disappeared!

Let's try this again. I read an interesting article on the net the other day about trying to ease a baby whose constant coughing can keep them up at night. We shouldn't only rub vicks on their tums, backs and feet, but also on their sides - from the armpit all the way down till just past the rib cage. Well, i tried it and K slept so well, i had to check on her to see if she was breathing, she was so peaceful and comfortable. Worth a try maybe?

Hi

Firstly THANKS to all those who took the time to respond.

K had her appointment with the chiro yesterday and the session went well. He said that her left hip was slightly out and ended up adjusting both. You would swear she was getting a massage as she was lying there dead still...too cute! Last night she seemed alot better but there was still the odd crying episode where she would cry out, pass the wind and then just go straight back to sleep. This normally happens between 1am and 4am. She has a second session on friday, so i am really hoping that this is going to work. Fingers and toes crossed!

Thanks again !!!

I just took my LG to the chiro on Sat for treatment and she has a few more sessions to go. Please make sure the chiro has worked on babies!!!For her its more the sleeping issue and being constantly irritable. She did sleep so much better from Saturday. Nights is another story. She also had croup a few months back and she has reflux so she coughs alot and i think it has made her body ache in certain parts. I am hoping the chiro will sort her out. Another option to look out for is BSR (Body Stress Release) i will be taking her for alternative healing too.

I took my LB to the chiro at 4 weeks old as he had terrible winds/colic and 3 sessions later, he was MUCH better so yes, i think you should take her and if she still suffers after that then go the blood test route.

Good luck!!

Hi there, my daugher struggled to bring up/break winds and she suffered from colic. We took her to a chiro that specialises in babies and it worked wonders. The chiro explained it to us that their intestines are sometimes knotted and that causes the discomfort. So I would suggest go for a session and see if it has made any difference - if it looks like it is working then go for a couple of sessions. They usually suggest 3 sessions to see results

Good Morning Moms

I was hoping that you can help me. My daughter will be a year old next week and still suffering from winds. She's on Isomil even though she isn't lactose intolerant, but it's a milk that she thrives on as she eats well too. I've tried going through the process of elimination as far as her diet is concerned to see what is giving her painful winds, but come up with nothing. Even her paed said that what she is eating is spot on. He said the next step is to take a blood test to see if she does have any food allergies etc. Before i do that though i was just wondering what your opinions are regarding taking her to a chiro? Have any of you taken your kids to a chiro and were you happy?
