Welcome Emmas :)

I also have a 5 month old daughter. Feel free to join us on the "Pampers August 2010 Moms" thread. Your baby is the same age as all the other ladies there. Always nice to speak to people who are going through the same things.

Welcome Emmas :)

I'm also new to the forum, along with Momtoc... :)

Gosh! I'm only 6 weeks, and found out now I only get 3 months paid, 4 month half pay and that's it... WOW to be home for 9 months must be incredible.

Good luck with finding a daycare, if I hear of any I shall let you know.

:)

Hi Emmas! I am also a Table View mom. Unfortunately I can't help with the daycare issue as I am looking myself.

But if you need help with anything else just shout!

Welcome emmas,

I am also new to the forum.....

It is hectic not to have family support when you need it! Most of my family live not too far from me but I still struggle to leave my daughter with one of them lol!

Wow, 9 months of maternity leave! I had 5 months but resigned from my job as I couldn't bare to leave my daughter anywhere. I was fortunate to stay at home for 19 months of her life but money got really, really tight & had to start looking for another job.

I hope you find a good daycare, aupair or nanny.........whatever you decide upon ;-)

Welcome Emmas.

There are quite a few Parklands moms here, so you should be able to get a few suggestions re day care.

You are so lucky - 9 months maternity leave is awesome, wish more companies were that kind

welcome to Moomie

I know how you feel. My family are all in the UK and my partners family are all scattered so also not really a support.

It can be tough finding a suitable daycare and I urge you to do it sooner rather than later as the good ones usually have waiting lists.

What we do now is hire a teacher from his school to babysit at our house. It works our really well as he knows her and adores her.

Enjoy you lo and look forward to chatting.
