I went off on maternity leave on 1 April, my due date was 26 April. Went for my check up on 9 April, found out baby was breech at 37 wks, Dr immediately told me that if she hadn`t turned by next Friday(16th) she would have to do a C-sec. Went home crying my eyes out, as I wanted to have a natural birth with it being my first time. I spent the next few days reading up on tips to encourage baby to turn, considering Hypnobirthing. Nonetheless , Wednesday the 14th I woke up with a slight bladder pain, didnt think much of it, but was extremely tired all day. Went to see my midwife to massage my back as it was killing me, whilst doing the massage she told me that baby is still breech, Didn`t believe her(denial). The day progressed and I had period like pains, odd thing is , since i am a first timer, it didnt dawn on me that I was having contractions. By late afternoon I was flat on my back doing my breathing exercises. I noted that I was having these rhythmic pains and started to time them. Since I was at moms place I called Baby Daddy and told him dude, we need to get to Hospital.
On His arrival, he saw me calm and relaxed, and asked if I was sure I am having pains,In my mind I just thought that I didnt wanna be a drama queen and do the whole screaming thing so I was very lady like. We got to hospital at 9h00, my doc was called, she told them to examine me and let her know. Got put on the monitor and BAM

contractions every 5 minutes and baby was still breech.Doc was there in 15 minutes and time went by so quickly cause I dont remember what happened when, how, but I do remember argueing with BD casue I didnt want to go through the birth alone. He finally gave in and by 11h30 I was wheeled into theatre with BD by my side.
The took him to get changed while I was getting the epidural and MAN was that theatre cold, I was shivering like a leave. I dunno if it was nerves or just cause it was so cold in there. BD came back and we got started. The "curtain " was put up and BD was laced next to my head. The doc`s were so brilliant, and one of them kept coming to my side of the curtain telling me, ur numb now, they are busy making the incision , you`re gonna feel some pulling etc. Then he said, ITS A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tay was born at 00h03:laugh:
I was so terrified cause ITS A GIRL!! but she is not crying, I started panicking and asked why she was not crying, Doc assured me that all is okay( they were cleaning her up) next thing it was like an alarm went off the way this girl was screaming

They brought her for me to see her for a few seconds and gosh, was that the most wonderful moment in my life, I looked at her and I just burst into tears, BD with a smirk on his face said, HA! she looks like her daddy!!! (true)
Doc then asked me if I wanted to be sedated while they stitch me back up and I said yes, and out like a light I was.
When I woke up, I was back in my room and BD was sitting next to me staring at our baby.
She got an all clear with an AGPAR score of 9/10. I was just so overwhelmed after breastfeeding her, I was told to rest but all I could do was take pic with my phone and send it to everyone in my phonebook.
Bd left at 5-ish for a shower and to wrap up at work and I just stayed awake cause I was so excited.
I could do it all over again, It was a life changing experience , but somehow I sometimes miss her kicking in my tummy, I wish I could be pregnant all over again.
