I am not an expert...There is also some contraversy about the whole free-range/organic thing. Many people abuse these words and it isn't always certain what is meant by these statements.

My understanding is that organic is grown exactly like something would grow in nature at its normal pace without any interference from man.?? Maybe I am speaking trough my arse here.

Free-range is not as strict and there might be some interference, like an animal that recquires antibiotics will be given but not routinely.

Game is the ultimate!! My husband loves game and is forever bugging me that he wants to hunt something for the deep freeze with his bow.

But is free range as good as organic? I also buy free range. I only eat red meat once a week and it's always bolognaise, lol. I was a veggie for years and only started eating meat again cos I was always fainting. haha
Plus because protien is brain food I like to make sure that it's there as meat at least at night (I studied home ec - which was like food sciences and you are suppose to consume 50 % of your meat intake for the day at night)
What the deal with game? (my fav) I started on ostrich meat back then, but it use to be less than half it's price now. I was rich then and poor now. So it's a defs no for me these days.

Memo, Woolies had a special a while ago for R85/kilo for free-range rump. This is the normal price at checkers/most butcheries for non-free range meat. The quality is amazing and once you taste the difference it will be hard to eat red meat that tastes like nothing. We try and combine more veggies to the meat to stretch it further like stirfry veggies with rump in strips.

I must say, when I do see a special that is good I stock up as much as my deep freeze can take!

We dont eat much peanut butter but when I buy I just get the black cat one that contains nothing but peanuts.
Is it top 10 or are there just 6..
Will defnitely start looking into organic meat this summer.

Yeah, I guess thats what it comes down to.
So we also buy what ever mik for us, as it's mostly for drinks and then buy and organic/ayeshire full cream for Jude. Which only goes in his porridge in the morning or if we cook with mik i use that. I'm not super anal though... but if he were consuming like 250 -500 ml a day I would rather just pay the difference.
