@joo~ste, its very true that the emotional state only heals once you pg again.
And yes mc is devastating its a loss :( , sad that if you have never been through that you will never understand that once you know you pg everything changes(planning etc), and there was heartbeat in there.

As for you moomie you will be fine, and good luck with your ttc'ing journey!

I did not have a D&C because my body expelled (if that is even the right word) everything. I fell pregnant the next cycle after that and now have a bouncy little toddler. I waited about 35 - 40 days for AF to show up after the MC.

Thank you Kimmy & Maj
All so true. I know our bodies heal and different paces and more so our emotions. DH and I both feel that the best route for us is to try as soon as the doctor feels comfortable with my physical state. Emotionally, we will both feel better once we are pg again. Unfortunately, I do not have the time (due to my fertility history and my age), to wait for a couple of months and then only starting.

We have always wanted our children close together and are praying for another blessing - or even two!

I always knew that miscarraige is devastating, but I never imagined that it would impact so hard. It feels as if we knew that little guy (we had the feeling that it was a little boy) for ages and it is real loss in our family.

@ joo~ste,

Sorry for your loss, i also got a missed mc late last year, and fell pregnant few months after that( had my baby boy 3 weeks ago  ), its a terrible feeling i know, but don't be hard on yourself as i know the fact that you knew there was a baby in there it gets you all happy, so after a loss you get desperate to try again, but again it might not happen as quick as you want , BUT it will eventually, if you are more relaxed. So as maj said, don't even think about it. i used to think about it, even though i fell preggies 5 months after that, but i wanted it sooner(maybe to replace the other)but my body wasn't ready and maybe me emotionally. I don't know if i make sense???
But then my dr said i can get pregnant even before getting my period.so its possible

@ Joo-ste,

I did not get an AF (no menstrual cycle) after the D&C. The gynea did not think to mention I should wait! I just kept thinking that because of the D&C it will all happen off schedule.
I think a big key was i said whatever will happen, will happen. If its not meant for us to have a baby now, then we wont, and it will happen when the time is right.
After a good couple of days of wallowing, DH forced me out of the house, and to do things, which really helped, as I might have just gotten stuck there.

We were trying for about a year prior.

I have 2 friends who have been trying for years. One just never fell pregnant due to cysts, etc. The other fell pregnant a few times, but they ended in miscarriages. She has been on fertility treatments, etc.
I think they both reached a point where they said whatever will happen, will happen, and now they are both pregnant and due three weeks apart.
My point though is to not put so much pressure on one another. Your overall psychological well being is very important, and you cannot loose who you are on the road to falling pregnant.
My apologies if I sound like I am preaching.
