February 2013 Moms

Hi ladies,

Tomorrow I'll be 38 weeks and will be booking in to hospital at midnight for an induction. I'm feeling a bit nervous, but all should go well, at least I had the steroid injections and all. He's also not small, so I'm just praying all goes well and he'll be fine.

Today my 3 year old started running a fever...he's had a runny nose for a week now and he's been complaining of a headache today. If he's still not well tomorrow, I'll take him to the doctor. I don't usually run to the dr so quickly, but I really don't want to be going into hospital knowing that he's not well.

Starting my new chapter in my life with a huge bang looks like it!!!

So how have the rest of you been this weekend? I've actually taken it a bit slower. My maternity leave starts tomorrow, so I'm going to submit my UIF forms quickly tomorrow....I soooo don't feel like doing it, but don't have a choice...

Well I'm off to bed now and also need to go check on my little one...

Nope. I can't induce. The doc said that because I am having a VBAC he can't induce. I have to wait, but I have one more week to wait. He won't allow me to go over 40 weeks as there is a big risk that my c-section scar can rupture.
Honestly I really want natural birth but I'm tired now. I guess whatever is going to happen with be God's will. I'm trying not to think about it so much.

Are you on maternity leave?

I am glad to hear you are okay. I'm 38 weeks today, So we are 1 week apart!!
the tiredness is terrible and i feel soo heavy.

Good to hear from you. Its always exciting and nerve wrecking with the first baby. At least your bags are packed. Are you on maternity leave?

Tell me about the pain down there... Its really unbearable at times!

I'm feeling better, thanks. The anti biotics helped with the infection. So I'm just waiting for my boy to arrive. I'm 39 weeks tomorrow and I feel sooo tired! I just want him out now...

U know what , i just saw right now that i actually posted my msg on different thread jan 2013 instead of feb 2013.

Well i went to see my gynae on wednesday, my LG is doing okay, everything looked gud for the normal birth, her weight is 2.6 kg, 37w5d.

So it's a waiting game 2weeks remained but it feels like a year, i'm walking soo slow and funny i can say coz there is soo much pressure down there and pain and my feet are swollen, climbing stairs at home its a job really.

This is my first time and i'm kinda worried, nervous also anxious. I have already pack my bags but sometimes i open and check and sniff those cute little clothes ...isn't it weird? but after struggling with infertility for a year, its still feels untrue that i have reach this stage.

How are you guyz doing?

@ Haidee , i love opening gifts too, my baby shower was a surprise last sunday, my friends planned everything and i didn't know anything they came to pick me up for lunch
@Maries, how are doing, bladder infection and back pain thats terrible i hope you are okay.

Hi Mommies...

Sorry about the silence...had issues with my phone, couldn't log in with the other one. Missed u all so much. I have so much to catch up on. I want to fully charge the battery, then will tell u all about my birth story.

Yep my little man is here...born on the 1st Feb @ 03:10 AM, he was nearly born in Jan...lol and to think my gynae thought it was a bladder infection coz I was 2cm dilated when I was admitten on Wed 30th @ about 3PM. I felt the contractions. They we're not regular though, but came every hour, didn't increase, and I went to 3cm after about 5 hours or so. On Thursday at about 5 PM when I was still 3 cm, Gynae prescribed antibiotics in a drip. Just before they would the drip, I felt stronger contractions...turned out I was in real labour lol then my boy gave his 1st cry @3:10AM...

He's an angel...eats and sleeps. Only cry when hungry or wet. I promise to come back later with the full birth story and to catch up. Love u all.
