Win: you are almost 36 weeks, aren't u pushing it a bit too close? how long is your maternity leave? Good luck with your check up with the doc next week, lets hope everything is going according to plan especially since you want a VBAC. do let us know how it goes.

Chandre wanted to work until 38 weeks, but i'm not that brave especially since i have no clue how it all works

I'll only be going back for a check up on the 07th of March again, I think my doctor is quite happy to space them out a bit since everything seems normal. thought i would be going every 2 weeks by now

What does it mean to have the baby engaged? is it the same as the head down position?

eish, ladies i am not sure if the infection has healed or what, because i don't feel anything even before they told me i had no problem, maybe that is the reason!

they have only found out that i have infection after they where checking my urine, that stick thing showed that i have what ever infection and they said is okay cause you can treat that with lots of water and rassberry juice!

i will hear from them on the 08 of march wheather i have healed or what!

my next appointment is nextweek wednesday with gyaena at sandton mediclinic, and probably i will also go to Genesis to book my bed and there after the following week i will go to see midwife and see how is things! after midwife's appointment i will see if i still have energy to come to work, or just go for ml straight away, as they told me on my 34wks check-up that the baby is already ingaging

Hello ladies.

Thank you ladies. I was at the hospital 7am for the tests and i left at about 9:30. The glucose solution is super sweet! I was hungry on the way there cus i had to fast since 10 last night and i am used to eating at 6 in the mornings so every food place to and from the hospital made me even more hungry. I left the hopital with 5 samples of blood less. Going to the doctor for my check up on Thursday so will hear the results them but its really made my body out of wack today.
While i was at the hospital and waiting the hour to have blood taken again, i went to the maternity ward. Its so awesome, the nursery is so spacious. Everyone is also so friendly there. My doctor is one of the best doctors in the country and the hospital has also high ratings so i definately feel that i am good hands.

@Zee - thank you for the tip but that doesnt help me The only thing that works wonders for me is something i will need to order from cape town from a little shop called still pure - their stuff is amazing and they have a baby range also and its all natural. They have an online shop if you guys are interested - www.stillpure.co.za/index.htm. They only have the one shop in Riebeek Kasteel.

Nix: How did your tests go? not sure what works on cracked heels, when my feet feel a bit dry especially in Winter i just wash them and put oil/lotion on them then socks before going to bed, in a couple of days they are normally soft. i'm not sure if you can sleep with socks on in this heat though! i think glomail had an ad on TV about them.

Chandre: is Payton still hanging in there?

Angie: i think its about 3 more weeks for u guys but i suspect anytime from now you'll have your little one as well.

Win: hope the infection has cleared, when are you going for a check up again?

AFM: at 32 weeks i feel like i've been pregnant forever! getting excited about the prospect of having this little one. panicking about parenthood ( what was i thinking moment!). scared about the birth itself, will it be ok? how will i know when it's time? will my baby be alright? oh yeah, and will we have decided on her name by the time she gets here!

Other than that, i'm doing great

@Win - Has your infection cleared up a bit yet?

@Angelique - Yes, settled in nicely thanks. Now its my mission to get baby room ready.
Time goes fast, its like the other day we found out we were pregnant and now we not so far from having our little ones.

@Zee - I am glad to hear your iron levels are normal. I am going for my glucose test tomorrow morning and my iron and something else also. Murphy's law that i will probably wake up hungry tomorrow morning and i wont be able to eat anything . Weekend was good thanks and yours? I will be 36 weeks on the dot on my last working day and she will be born at 38 weeks and 3 days, if she sticks to her date. I have a feeling that she will be coming a few days earlier cus she is so big already.

I am starting to get uncomfy now. I find it uncomfy too walk to far and my heels are very sore and cracked. Last night, i tried to lie on the couch and i was just too uncomfy and the little girl was being very stubborn and wouldnt move so i went to bed. Does anyone have a cure that works for these sore cracked heels?
