Hello ladies! How is everyone doing? How are the little ones? Sorry been so quiet but things were hectic in the start but now settled in nicely.

We all moomies now!! Time goes so fast!

Like Chadre let you guys know i had some spotting on the 12 April and it would be on my last day of work. I was 36 weeks on that Friday. The spotting seemed to get worse and then i felt a little gush of liquid which apparently was my mucus plug and then i started to feel tightening in my tummy but wasnt sure if it was braxtin hicks or not.I started to panic so i called the midwife and she told me to go to hospital so they could put me on a monitor.

After that i waited for my doctor to come see me and he said he could see from the print out that i was having some minor contractions every now and then, He examined me and said i was a finger dialated so he said that he is keeping me overnight for observation. He gave me steroids for lungs and something else to try calm my uterus down. They put me on the monitor again at about 9 at night and it looked like the contractions had stopped, got more staroids at 2 in the morning and then was put on the machine again at about 8am and could see that my contractions were getting stronger and i could feel them by my hips so my doc told us that he would be performing the c section that day.

Went into theatre at 11 and Daniella was born at 11:25. Weighing 3.42 KG and 53cm long. She was put on my chest directly after birth wich was amazing and then the pead took her and checked her out and put her back on my chest for a bit until she was taken to the NICU. She was only on a ventilator for one day but she was in the NNU for a total of 11 days and went home on the 12th day.

It was extremely hard but i would spend all day with her at the hospital and it was the hardest to say goodbye to her when i had to go home every night. She came early because she had developed a lung infection in utero.

She all healthy now and will be 6 weeks on Saterday!She is on formula(NAN HA) which she was getting in the hospital in between my breast milk. I dont have enough milk for her anymore but at least i did when she neaded it the most Im all good, little bit tender on the inside still but otherwise healed nicely. I love being her mommy and im glad my mom was here to help me for almost a month. My hubby was amazing, he helped me through the pain and the baby blues and was my rock. will post some pics of her now.

how are you all doing?

Chandre, Payton looks so big! hope you had a good trip to PE.

AFM: Liora is growing well, we are struggling with tummy craps think its gas, so i'm giving her Telamine drops in her feed and hope that it will work. we went for her 6 weeks check up and vaccination.

She's now weighing 4.88KG and is 55CM tall. everything is good, we'll be going back for the 10 week vaccination on the 13th of June.

we'll be travelling down to KZN next week so my family can finally meet her

Payton is doing so well, she is now 4.8kg's and growing so fast, she is out of new born clothing n in to 0 to 3 months!

We are going to PE on friday which I cannot wait to see my family and they can see their grandchild!!!!!!

Zee, its kind of challenging sometimes but I am getting there and learning too! She is nice to her brother, and whenever I breastfeed she also want to feed him. I am breastfeeding and when I go back to work he is going to take formula during the day and late breastfeed!

Win, what is it like being a mother to two? How's your daughter handling having a baby brother?

Is anyone breastfeeding or are we all using Formula?

AFM: Its been pretty hectic getting used to being a mom and now it seems like there's some kind of schedule. I got real lucky because Liora has been such a good baby except she was fussing a bit last week. She turned one month on friday and next week we'll be going for her 6 week check up and we'll do her vaccination as well, hope she'll be able to handle it and that i'll be able to handle it ( would be quite funny if i started crying )

Anyway, just checking if there's some life in this thread, its been so quite!

Thanks Win for the advice, i'll try and take it easy.

I can't believe how the days just go by or how busy i am with just the one baby! i wonder how i'll cope once i'm back at work. Liora is now 3 weeks and 2 days old, can't believe she'll be a full month next week. We've been getting to know each other and we kinda developed a pattern that resembles a schedule already. Oh but I was so close to tears yesterday coz she was so uncomfortable, crying and i could just tell she was in pain. I ended up changing the formula she was on at about 8 last night and now she seems to have settled down and back to her normal self. Is anyone on the NAN HA? that's the formula that seemed to give her a tough time, i just hope the change to normal NAN will be fine.

Anyway, i'm hoping to have some sleep tonight .... Enjoy the little ones and hope you are all enjoying healthy babies

Congratulation Zee, and hope u enjoy your bundle of!! About motherhood thing not to worry, just be yourself and don't push yourself too hard! Get better dear!
