Thanks for the welcome :D

Oh my gosh I'm so jealous you got to find out!!Congrats though! Haha now time for shopping! :P
I hope your nausea goes away soon Allsmiles! Nausea can be very unpleasant indeed.

I went for my 17 week scan on Friday last week and this little jelly bean of mine was being so stubborn...Baby stayed curled up in a little ball with its feet tucked under its bum...Gynea says our baby has great feet and ankles though lol

Shirwynw, why csection? Any particular reason?

What has everyone else decided to do?
Im thinking about going as natural as possible, but with the Clexane, I might need to have a reverse injection (to thicken the blood) and then be induced around 38 weeks so that no complications arise...So I'm told by the gynea. It all sounds a bit freaky not being able to plan exactly what I want...But then again, I dont think anyone gets what they want...*sigh.

My other half, John, and myself have already chosen names...even though we dont know the gender yet! Haha at least we have that sorted!

Im going to try upload a pic of the scan...Maybe you guys can tell me your opinion on whether you think its a boy or girl? We got one pic of bubs tooshy without the feet in the way, but doc says she cant say for sure what the gender is...Im WAAAY too anxious to find out!

Hi all

Welcome Sarah!!! Those blood clots don't sound like too much fun.... but suppose it could have been worce hey. I'll stop complaining about my nauseousness that's still hanging around... cuz that is really the only discomfort i really have up to now.

Glad we won't completely be losing our only daddy to be on this forum.

Well just want to give a quick update from my side! We went for our 3rd Visit last week and got the exciting news that we are expecting a little boy! Hubby was so proud... think his smile went all the way around his head (not that i actually think it would have been different if it were a girl).

So nice to actually be able to refer to my baby as he... instead of baby or it.

Now comes the hard part... choosing a name...... eeek!!

Good Afternoon Ladies...

Well we have decided to switch gynaes, our new gynae is at Christiaan Barnard, and after what was an awesome 1st visit, he has decided that my wife will deliver via csec on the 27th December, with that come the fact that I have to switch forums, I will still post in here to update you ladies on her progress through these next few months!

Still cant believe that we will see our little girl by the end of the year! We have our 20 - 22 week scan on the 4th Sept, and will let you know how that went....

Its been very still in this thread, and still cant believe that there are so few moomies for the month of Jan 2014.

I hope you are all well and that you having a good pregnancy...

Let me know of any developments! ;) ;)

Hi All :)

Im due in Jan 2014 aswell! I just joined Moomie yesterday because everything I've researched on the web is mostly American...which doesnt help all that much.

This is my 1st pregnancy. So far it been up & down. I have had 2 scans (which were both amazing experiences!!) and I have my next scan on August 16th and am REALLY hoping to find out the gender!! :P

I have developed blood clots in 2 of the main veins in my leg due to the pregnancy and so am on daily Clexane injections (blood thinners) which is extremely unpleasant. I am terrified of needles so every night either boyfriend or mom has to stab me so i can push down the plunger...And then on top of that, i have to wear compression socks every day - highly uncomfortable!

But otherwise, morning sickness was too bad in the beginning weeks and now the nausea has mostly gone...yay!!

Hope we all can share in this awesome experience :)

Ciao for now :)

Hi there, I thought I was a Feb Mommy but I also went to the Fetal Assessment Centre (the one in Pretoria) last week and was told a number of good things there. Firstly, for Downs etc, I am at 1:4800, which is great news seeing as I'm 36 already. We also found out that we're expecting a girl and that we're not at 12 weeks as previously thought, but rather at 14 weeks already.

This is our first pregnancy and we are both super excited. Luckily all of the nausea has also now gone away completely and I can also keep my eyes open a tad more - although, 9 at night is my limit at the moment.. I took Asic for the nausea at the end and that really helped a whole lot!

Hi everyone

I went for my scan on Thursday... and yes what an amazing experience!! Still waiting for the results. The dr couldn't clearly see the gender... but she did take a guess based on what she could see and it seems like we might be having a little boy :) .

Shirwyn give my sympathy to your wife... i've also been suffering through the morning sickness ... or as I call it all day torture. Mine is not showing any sighns of getting better though.. Debs you are one lucky lady for having skipped it... it's no fun at all!!

Seriously... how can we be the only Jan mommy/daddy's to be??
