Welcome Kathleen :) I trust that your pregnancy is going well. We are quite a few ladies having Boys in June :)

@Natasha, thanks for the advise on the shoes, will definitely look into that, it might just work ;)

I'm seeing the gynae again on 11Feb, so I've got quite sometime to wrap my head around this and come up with a full list of questions.

I hope you ladies are coping in the heat.

Have a lovely weekend.

Hi Ladies!

Joining you guys a little late in the game but I am due 23 June! This is my second baby and we found out on Tuesday that its another boy!! We had the family pitch in with suggestions for names and finally chose none of the suggestions

We will call him Dehan! He measures a week and 3 days more than my actual gestation period at this stage - so a BIG boy!

We are going to the midwifes from now till two weeks before the EDD.

Hope you ladies are all doing well!!?? Will try and catch up on all the posts!!!

@Teribeary

The way you walk has a lot to do with the pain's and aches in both your back and hips. Have you looked at getting a pair of health shoes? They do take a lot of pressure of your spine and is definitely worth the while
I struggle a lot with my hips when I sleep at night and the pregnancy pillow isn’t helping at all

As for the scaredy part... It is completely normal. This is my second baby and I am pretty scared my self

What I will suggest is that you talk to your gynae. Tell him/her about this fear of yours and ask him/her what exactly is going to happen when you do give birth. Explain your concerns in detail. He/She would be the best person to calm your nerves before and during the process as well
The more questions you ask the better your chances of being prepared for anything

Write down all of the questions you and DH has before you go and then discuss all of them rather than looking for answers on the internet spend that time and make notes when you are with the gynae.

@Nelli Welcome mommy to be,I hope you are having a wonderful pregnancy.

@NatashaM Thank you, we are so lucky and blessed and I'm realizing it more and more everyday..

I hope your headaches are getting better. My backaches have recently started and I must say it's getting harder to get a proper night's rest in... Preparing my body for baby's arrival and no sleep I guess ;)

To be completely honest I try to not over think all the expenses and those kinds of things too much, don't want to stress myself or baby out ;) I have done extensive research regarding my Medical Aid coverage and I am sure they will cover all the necessary procedures and I drive an SUV, so I've definitely got space for all the cargo :)

The one thing I must say that I'm extremely petrified of is the idea of birth... I know it's as natural as can be and millions of woman do it - it's just what we do but still I can't help but feel scared.. I want to do it as natural as possible without epidural and try to avoid C-section.. I guess it's okay to be scared, I think everyone has their little things they are scared off and worry about...

Anyways, I hope your scan is perfect and that you can see as much of baby as you want to :) It is by far one of the best feelings in the world!!

Keep well
