Hie Nicsfish

hows ur little girl. well I went with ARWYP and decided to experience things for myself, guess what I had a wonderful experience. the staff was great and my baby was taken good care of, had plenty of rest after my c section. I survived the spinal block which I was scared of ( the anaesthetic doc wasn't that nyc thou of all the staff). I managed to get a private room which was great. the hospital isn't that bad after all and I guess like u said , individual experiences vary.. R u breas or formula feeding...

Hi mamamarang! How are you doing? Was wondering if you had chosen a hospital?

Hope you find someone and somewhere you're comfortable with very soon!

Where did you have baby no.1? If you don't mind me asking.

I'm 34 wks this week. Time has started flying. Miss the second trimester!!

Let me know how your visits go and if you find anyone you like. As I said, have a few friends who have had babies in the Boksburg/benoni area in the last year, so can find out opinions on different docs for you maybe. But at the end of the day we all have very different expectations, one person may love a certain gynie while another was really not comfortable with the same gynie!

I agree with Julz though, if you are very happy with your current Dr, maybe speak to them about your concerns before moving?

Hi mamamarang!! The Linmed hospital in Benoni has a super reputation, have a few friends who have had c-sections there in the last year, with different doctors and all had very good experiences. I would prefer to have my baby there but my doctor is based at the Glynwood and I adore her, so I go where she goes!

I'm currently going to antenatal classes at Linmed as Glynwood doesn't provide classes, and I just really like the general feel of the hospital. It's quite small and seems much more personal. Maybe it's worth you going round and chatting to them?

Hope you find somewhere soon - how far along are you?
