@amyreally I was first with Gavin Breeds, but changed as my husband and I found him quite cold. We switched to Dr Erwin Gaetner who was absolutely fabulous.

I was going for a vaginal birth and towards the end of my pregnancy around 36 weeks, he told me that I should prepare myself for a C section as it may be that I wouldn't be able to give birth naturally as my pelvis was too narrow. At the time I was too devastated but was determined to try for natural.

I was due on 1 August 2010 and on 24th July, thought i was going into labour so went in to check in out. The kept me overnight and then decided to induce me at 05h00 the next morning. After few hours nothing happened and they induced me again. At 11h00, i started getting heavy contractions.

This continued till about 16h30, when he came back to say that i need an emergency c section as although i was dilated the baby's head was not dropping and this would be the safest option.

At the time i just trusted what he said, but later in hind site felt that he pushed unnecessarily for a c - section and should not have induced me to begin with.

The hospital itself was great, loved it!

This time around i decided to find a gynae that offered discovery rates. Her name is Dr Christine van Heerden, and there seems to be good reviews on her.

She only operates from Milnerton MC hence my choice. Will let you know how it goes.

Hey ladies, I have read all your chats and you all sound like you all one big happy family.

I found out on the 18th of this month and my lays period was on the 14th of Feb.

My partner and I have been together for 3years in April and is my second baby.

I'm 32 and work for investment company and stay in JHB.

I'm 5wks6D, i don't mean to stress anyone but this my 6th pregnancy in 3 years and all resulted in a miscarriage and all before 8 weeks.

I was not trying this time but I guess God has decided its time, I have all the symptoms you can think of, nausea, hunger, sore nipples, breasts tender and fatigue.

But apparently when you get these it means you are producing the right pregnancy hormones.

Enough said and pleased to meet everyone.
