@Loiuse - I also agree, as long as they pay you your dues, cut ties, and find someone else who will appreciate yuor skills. It will not be a good environment for you if you go back, they might even just frustrate you just to get you to resign. All the best dear, Enjoy the time off.

ladies, i am so exhausted. It was my birthday this weekend, and my my my, what a short weekend it was. It was the best as my siblinngs paid me a suprise visit. I had so much fun, but today all i need is my bed

I absolutely agree with you and your hubby, you are way better to cut your losses and let it be, you cannot afford to have this stress on you. Glad you have spoken about it and have a solid idea on where to go from here!

My husband and I had a looooooong chat. After much deliberation we decided to just let it take its course. They still haven't "fired" me, so there's nothing I can really do till then - so till then I still get paid in full. Once they fire me they still need to pay me out my notice period and luckily I had a pension very decent pension fund with them that will pay out in about 6-8 weeks after dismissal, and by that time my maternity UIF will kick in and after that I can also still claimunemployment UIF. So either way - I'm sorted.

Once they have dismissed me I can take action, but like my husband said - do I really want to go through all the schlep in my final weeks of pregnancy or with a newborn? He's advice is to cut my losses with them and in my last month of maternity leave start looking for something else.

I'm an Executive PA and luckily it's a position that is always in demand.

Leewe, I also read an article over the weekend in an archived Sarie about a baby that was born @ 24 weeks and who pulled through with flying colors!

My previous gynae receptionist's son was born this year @ 25 weeks. He was in NICU for 2 months and she says that was the worst... but the day her son reached 2kg things happened fast and he was released with weeks. He is now a friendly, bouncy 4 month old weighing 5kg! No problems that arose afterwards what so ever... if you look at him today you wont even think he was a prem.

I' m also now 24 weeks... and every update says that 24 weeks is viable for babies born at this stage. In 2009 with my first it was said to be 26-28 weeks... so just be thankful for today's technology! Those NICU staff are trained for this and they fight without end for your baby... Just keep praying!!!

I cant imagine what you are going through and since reading your message you have been on my mind. It was actually strange as one of my work colleagues happened to mention to me on friday that her friend had her baby at 25 weeks and she is a healthy beautiful little 5 year old, I also read an article where to a little boy is a healthy little man now after being born at 24 weeks, so there is hope dont lose it, it will just be one seriously rough road ahead of you and I want you to know we are here for you

As for my weekend I could do with a few more days off and the warm weather was just so awesome!
We moved the house around to finally get little L's room ready, our house looks like a hurricane hit it and we still no where near finished. At least my LG's room has been moved to the bigger room and her room is set up nicely, just have to move her clothes from the cupboards and move the curtains, babys room is empty excepting a rocking chair toys (that I have to clean) and chest of drawers.

So much to do and so little weekends to do it in

Other than that my little man hasnt stopped kicking which im totally in love with, counting down the days to finally see him again - 3 weeks still to go but these weeks are definitely flying by.
