hmmmmmmmmmm our December mom's are very quiet, I hope you are all well? and the babies too.

Happi I agree I feel like more should be happening in the second trimester, like I should be doing more, lol but I suppose it's our only trimester to feel ourselves and rest as much as possible before the long haul of the last trimester. but you not weird lol, it's quiet this semester.

Have you thought of any names for your baby yet?

You are right 3rd trimester you do have more to look fwd to, bookng your hospital, the 4D scan, packing the hospital bag, showers, leave and def last minute shopping!!!!

I hope next week we at least can get a good shot at the gender, if baby noon is willing seems like e all have very active babies currently.

Just in an interesting fact I read, you 20 weeks scan, is the one scan that's gives you the most accurate EDD (but of course baby has to lie still for a few seconds to allow the measurements).

Anyway I hope you are all well and babies are well also. Hope to hear from you all.

hey ladies

Had my app on sat, nothing exciting to share, the scans were so not gud quality, my boy was in a mood I guess lol, just turned his back on us and continued playing with his hands. bet it was too early for him. Gynae struggled to even confirm gender :) had to lie on my side, then we cld see, but Mr just wasn't cooperating.

Ladies is it me or the 2nd trimester kinda gets boring, as in not much to look forward to esp afta yu knoe the gender. I have this feeling lik, ok I am pregnant bt life kinda goes on. I remember feeling lik that with my daughter. Then 3rd trimester, baby showers start, packing bags , maternity leave, last min buying etc, there is so much activity and the excitement picks us again. Am I just being a weirdo :silly: or any of you ladies do experience such?

There is ducks flying outside my office, in winter they don't migrate they just come to DBN for vacation lol.

So just like I have no clue whether I am carrying a boy or girl as yet, I also have no idea of possible baby names I like for either gender as yet? I have been given suggestions, but nothing has gripped me to say, yes that will be my son or daughters name...............

I also feel like I need to be doing stuff like buying but just not feeling it right now, I think I just need to get passed July, my daughters birthday and then everything thereafter will be about the baby, I hope, cause then at least I may know the gender and maybe more directed, my appetite has increased I get hungry more frequently now. Still using my normal clothes, pants now go under the belly, lol. But I find I just feel most comfortable in my PJ's it must be winter.

I have found myself thinking a lot about the future, my family, how life will change, the costs, the planning, school, my policies, I think it's the hormones, sometimes I think of what can go wrong but remind myself it's natural to do so, but I have read that once the pregnancy reality hits you, it's the natural frame of mind that mum's go through as the baby is becoming so much more of a reality and you want to protect it.

Anyway for the other ladies in our group who are not online, I know you probably busy, I hope you and the babies are all doing great and have an awesome weekend........................................

@Happi and Nix hope you both have awesome scans on Saturday, can't wait to hear how it went and the pics.

@ Carmy (another leo :-) ) I also love the party planning no matter how tiring it can be, just love seeing my baby girl so happy but she does help me also and the whole family gets involved.

I'm happy you reducing your sugar content and drinking water, it really helps towards you and baby health as your pregnancy progresses, I also reduced my sugar intake, also only having one cup of decaf daily and maybe a cup of tea later in the day, it was hard at first but I got used to it. I think winter also makes you wanna have coffee, oooohhh that smell of real coffee I cannot torture myself cause I want a real cup of coffee, it really does take a lot of restraint to not have it.

But remember cake, sweets, chocolates, even tea and cold-drink all have traces of caffeine so if you watching your intake you probably keeping it low. Pilates I cannot manage too much, still doing low impact yoga from the DVD and books I have, been lazy this week, so didn't do any this week. All I can say is if you tired relax don't over exert yourself, we not professionals so do it at your pace and within your limit, for example I am struggling to pick things up from the floor suddenly with the bump growing, so trying not to exert too much on the bump as well.

About your maternity leave I think most mums aim for at least 2 weeks before they deliver, cause you kinda want to always have a few days to yourself plus do last minute running around, god and baby willing (cause only they know if baby is coming earlier) and I think as long as you fit and healthy enough 2 weeks prior is perfect for maternity leave, as mum's we also want to have as much maternity leave with our little ones as possible.
