@Nix I so relate to your last comment "For those of you who can rest when they get home and not run after a toddler" My daughter, not a toddler, she is going to be 4 end of July and for some reason all her legs know to do nowadays is run, run, run, run. At least I get some exercise out of it, lol but sjoe I get tired!!!
@Happi, yes all employers think you never gonna come back after maternity leave so they try and get you to do so much before you go on leave. but try if you get as bad porridge brain as I did in my first pregnancy, it helps to get the work in place and have a plan for someone to finish it off or see it through before you last few months, you will need less stress in the last trimester. best part if you do get porridge brain you forget the work stress very quickly, lol
@Lashy you have a good plan to delay the news that you are pregnant, once you know your EDD gives you a chance to plan how you want to have your maternity leave before talking to the boss, decide your plan a and if boss has an issue how you will change to plan B or so.........good luck we all get very funny reactions to the pregnancy announcement from work colleagues.
The law says you only need to inform your employee once you 12 weeks and over. I told my boss when I was 10 weeks cause my job entails lotsa travelling and I will need to reduce it as my pregnancy progresses.
