Re the bedrest, that's what the fertility specialist told me on Monday, but maybe he was just giving us worst case scenario. I've since googled (naughty) and I've read a lot of stories about twin moms being mobile right up to 36 weeks! So anything is possible. I carried my daughter to 40w1d with no problems, so hopefully things will go well this time around again. I would hate to miss my daughter's end of year concerts in October and November, but I am keeping an open mind, but yes, it definitely doesn't have to be all doom and gloom!

Nnita, so sorry to hear that you are still feeling sick. Aaah, that's so cute about your husband and boy. Just take it easy.

Lethuwam, welcome and congratulations. You can just go to Pathcare or Ampath to do a bloodtest. You can collect the results yourself and they can send a copy to your doctor so that he has it on file as well.

So sorry about all the going around!! I really hope that it goes away at the end of this trimester. I am not suffering from any (I realise that you do not want to hear that now! - apologies! )
I also did not have any / maybe a little quesiness with my other 2 pg'ies.
I struggle however to eat anything. Just not hungry. Made a cup of Milo and it tasted horrible. I even threw it away (thinking that the milk is off - made another cup - but the same funny taste in my mouth).

Supper time is crazy at my house. (Also because my eldest do not want to go down for an afternoon nap and is so difficult during that time), but mainly because I do not know what to serve for dinner. I just cannot think of preparing food.

So good to hear that you are getting all excited about the twinsies! Why do you think that you would need to go onto bedrest so early on?? Did you have complications with your first? I know that triplet-moms are put on modified bedrest from about 22 weeks and then strict bedrest from around 24 weeks. Unless you have complications with an incompetent servix - you will be able to be mobile until (I am guessing here) at least 26 weeks?

My story doesn't seem to change...MS MS MS and terrible MS every single day

I must say it does give assurance that baby is healthy and kicking.

I am praying so hard for a baby girl, and come 20 weeks I will check the gender.

Ladies I am very lucky, I knock off work at 16h30 and Im home at 16h45 and straight to bed, I wake up around 10pm, try and eat something and back to bed.

Now that schools are closed I wake up at 7 and I am at work at 8am. I don't know what hubby and my son eats, One evening I woke up around 7pm and they were about to have dinner, so hubby was tell our son that I am not a good cook like your mom, but I am sure this food will not kill us, I tried. My heart melted.

Hi Ladies, i just joined this forum few weeks ago, i have been TTC for the last 7 months and my daughter is 7 year old, she's been nagging for baby sister or brother but me and DH were not ready. early this week we got a positive Pregnancy test. i just have a quick question, is it important to do a blood pregnancy test at the doctor's room? unfortunately my Gynie is out of town till end July and i can only see him mid august, should i worry about this and try to get another doctor in the mean time or wait?

Sorry I have been MIA...MS is still is killer. Had my 8 week scan on Tuesday. It's confirmed that we only have one baby growing and my EDD is 8 Feb 2017. Our 10 yr wedding anniversary is 3 Feb so we getting an awesome gift this time

My LB is still wishing for a sister and DH is leaning towards another boy. Me, I'm chilled and will go with the flow. Just want a healthy baby.

On Tuesday we were reminded of the miracle of life. That little person that is growing inside of me. Surreal and quite amazing to think I get to experience it one more time.

I am prepping for my last exam today and then I need to pack as we are off on a holiday tomorrow. Spoke to the DR who prescribed some extra meds to take on holiday

To everyone in the MS boat, like me, let's hope it goes away soon....but like my DH says it's just confirmation that baby is still going strong

Morning ladies, hope everyone is feeling ok and that the MS is not too bad.

DebbieF, the wait must be killing you - but just 5 more sleeps until your scan. Thanks for the wishes. I just have one cup of decaf in the morning and that is about it - then I have about 3-4 large glasses of water. I know I should be drinking more water. Strangely enough I'm very thirsty in the evenings before bedtime and then I have another two small glasses of water, but luckily the last two nights or so I didn't have to get up too many times to go to the loo.

Last night I decided to stop googling because it's just too upsetting, but then I read one little line that cheered me up - the chance that there will be a membrane separating the two babies in one sac is 99%. The chance that there will be no membrane is only 1% - so it would be really really rare if there is no membrane. So this morning I actually started looking at twin nurseries - I don't know if the cots should be too far from one another or very close by - I have a lot of research to do! We will also have to move the rooms around a bit. My only concern now is that we don't really want to buy things or get things ready before 20 weeks - but then again, I will probably have to go on bedrest from 20 weeks and then I won't be able to do anything, so what to do?!

Bea - congrats on the twins that's a wonderful surprise.

I am going to try catch up on all the other posts to see what I missed.

I also haven't had my 1st scan , think I will feel better after that on Tuesday , also 6 sleeps like someone else not sure who ? Preggie brain striking already ?

I am also suffering with tiredness come home and want to go straight to bed , not helping that I have a million things to do
for clients when I get home ,

What do you ladies drink apart fro Water ? Really finding that a difficult one ?
