Firstime Mom - you can get books at cna or babycity, any book store. I would take photos rather of the sonar pics, al mine that are in my daughter's book have faded so I have lost most of them. I think all medical aid's have waiting periods on pregnancies if you are a joining as a new member

Morning Ladies,

Thought i was over the MS as my 12th week begins on Wednesday - Boy was I wrong?!!!! Today has been a rollercoaster - whoever said it gets better after 9 weeks was either a male or never pregnant LOL

I'm due to see the DR on 9 July - its been a long month and a lot of changes and minor discomfort that had me sitting up at night wondering if my baby is okay - the anxiety is too much, but on the bright side - I'll be 13 weeks by then and we'll officially be out of MC danger

Glad to see you ladies are handing in there - is there a medical aid that I can join even though I am pregnant already? Also is there a bookshop that I can get a "baby diary" from - I have this idea of pasting each and every ultrasound photo and having a diary entry that my baby will read when he/she is older (so that he/she knows just how much I went through throughout the 9 months )

Thanks for the welcome, I am really going to try to not find out the gender, not many things are a surprise in life so going to try have this as a surprise for us.

Do any of you feel "light headed" I have this feeling and it's strange, could it be the Ecotrin?

Hope the MS has subsided with the ladies that have it, so far I am fortunate not to have had any.

Nnita and Spirited M How are you ladies feeling? Still sick?

Bea my next sonar is only at 12 weeks, 4 Aug, it’s so terrible long, don’t know how I am going to get through the next 5 weeks lol.Where do you do the NIPT? How much does it cost?

We are also waiting for 12 weeks till we tell anyone, did it with our first as well. I have decided to wait this time with the gender and keep it a surprise, well try anyway lololol.

I am so out of touch with technology these days when it comes to babies and scans etc but I will learn from all of you. It literally feels like its my first baby again

MS has been brutal. It pushes through those pills but I'm holding on for dar life. Like my DH says its just letting you know that you are producing what "Billy" aka the baby needs...Oh we are staring to toy with baby names so I lile Noah or Mia, DH doesn't know where he is going but seems Noah is growing on him and our LB also likes Noah. But this was only after I had convinced him that we cannot call the baby GoD or Jesus

I have my 8 week scan on Tuesday. Absolutely can't wait to hear that little heart beating....

How is everone else doing?

P.S. Unless the doctor says I can't go I am going on holiday with MS This is one of the holidays thT we look forward to annually....

DebbieF - congratulations, that is wonderful news! You're HCG levels look great as well - a very good start indeed. I know it is the longest wait ever for that first scan, but the 7th will be here before you know it (well, that's how it feels afterwards anyway!)
I'm also waiting until 12 weeks before telling more people as we've also been trying for 5 years.

NnitaN - sorry to hear about your terrible morning sickness. How was today? Hope you'll feel better soon.

First-time mom - how's things on your side?

AFM: Monday will be my 10 week sonar. We will also be doing the NIPT (Non Invasive Prenatal Test) blood test then which tests for Downs Syndrome and other Trisomy conditions. The results will be send to the genetics sonograph specialist who will discuss it with us at 12 weeks after a fetal assessment as well. One bit I'm excited about is that this blood test also tests the gender, so at our 12 week scan we will know the gender - and as it tests DNA it's almost 100% accurate. With my daughter we had to wait well over 20 weeks!

looks like my EDD is 20 Feb 2017 .

I have been trying to get pg for 5 years many MC , lots of fertility treatment , last advise the FS gave me was to try the
Dr Cohen diet to restore hormone imbalances and loose weight .

Well I lost 26kg from Nov till now as was very surprised when I took a HPT and saw I was pg , very nervous with my history
but my HCG levels seem to be rising nicely , 16/6 = 482 , 18/6 = 600 (early) 23/6 = 4277 , got a 7 week scan at the FS on the 5th of July so will have to wait till then to see what he says.

Havent told many ppl as we just want to get passed the 12 weeks and then we can start to tell.
