Jan / Feb 2017 Babies

Yes I know - I had a scan at 7 weeks, then at 8 weeks, and then yesterday's one at 10 weeks. I thought something was wrong yesterday, because the doctor kept so quiet and then he said everything is ok, but he had to leave the room - and then he was gone for like 3 minutes! When he came back he did another sonar and said: "There are two babies!" He says because they are in one sack, previously he could only see one baby in the sack - the other one was possibly "hiding" behind the other. But the best part is that they are both about the same measurements and size. The one measures at 10w3d and the other at 10w6d which is perfect, he says. We're going for another scan on Tuesday.

@Pokkeltjie - congrats and welcome The wait for the first scan is the longest! I waited 2 weeks and was counting down the days! At first I was a little nervous as it is my first pregnancy but as soon as i saw the monitor and my little baby move and the heart beat I was speechless! It really is such a precious moment. I did feel a bit overwhelmed. Still can't believe I am pregnant

@Bea - Thank you Wow congrats on your twins! I know it will be difficult for you, but God will always make a way. I wish you all the best in your pregnancy.

I am so thrilled for you! All is true - the implications - but I also trust that our God will sort our those matters for you. If I'm not mistaken you had 2 scans prior to finding out you are pg with twins! How did they miss it??

AFM: I could hardly sleep last night - I'm so tired today! We're still in shock - expecting twins really has a lot of implications for us. I've recently resigned my job and started doing freelance work from home as of 1 June. Well, if I'm going to be on bedrest from mid September (no sitting in front of a computer) - I'm not going to have an income for about 6-8 months as I don't see how I'm going to be able to work with two (probably prem) newborns. But I have trust in our God and we will work with what we have and just make the best out of it. Now I just really want to get to 12 weeks because I also want to see in what type of sack the twins are - I hope there's a membrane in the middle of the sack so that their umbilical cords won't get tangled.

Don't have much preggy symptoms other than feeling tired and breasts are sore (they've doubled in size over the last week
