Michelle, your gyn is pricey!!! Mine charges about R600 for a consult. My husband has a fantastic medical aid so i'm not worried.

I'll be going to my parents' house for birth and have to get a new gyn there. Gosh, the only thing i hate about small towns is that there are limited gyn. There are currently 3 of which 2 my aunt and cousin hate (delivered their babies, not friendly, rude).

Tell me, will I be able to travel about 8 hours in car at 26 weeks? I booked a holiday (timeshare, my points were due to expire) in Margate before I found out i'm preggies.

My gyn appoint is next week (at 12 weeks)...

To Owais Mum, My doc is DR T Berios in the Umhlanga hospital. (Also practises in Alberlito hospital.
I think he is rather pricey, but because we have had such a hard time getting here we don't mind paying the extra. He was recommended to us as one of the top doctors in Durban. Average visit costs anything from R500 up to R900.
I am also going to have some traveling issues now, as my husband started a job yesterday! And I don't have my own car. Oh well, things will work out! They always do.

My next visit is only on the 28th of this month. And I am dying to see my little angel now! Too far away.

my 1st is a boy n gosh he is a rascal but then again boys wil b boys.
i did a lil more checks on da gynae n apparently he does internals til around 4 months n i dont want dat, i dont kno y but i jus cant handle it, im gona b changing 2 an older gynae coz sum how i feel da older ones make u feel more comfortable.

my problem is my hubby dont wana travel when baby is due n after so got to settle on sum1 in tongaat. n will probably b going 2 gynae checks on my own, coz of his work n jus started in january

LADIES! So I called the doc and he said its perfectly normal to spot after sex. WHOOO HOOO! Everything is ok. I am so constipated so he has recommended Movical. Not a laxative but rather a stimulant. It stimulates water to be absorbed into the digestive tract.

Hi All

I am currently living in Waterfall Durban and my Gynae is all the way in Umhlanga. It takes me anything from 40 mins to 2 hours (depending on traffic) to get to him. I would highly recommend him to anyone living in the Durban area that wants to change Gynaes.

To Champers, I am so glad you are feeling so positive and so sick, it can only be a good sign.

And to Ashleigh, we are also dying to know the sex. We keep asking our doc, but he says its still way to early Maybe at 16 weeks.
