It is possible to have 6 kids on a budget
I agree with that statement, my parents have 6 kids, financially it was a strain but they never let us feel it. It was a strain coz when my older sister was born my dad was in 1st year, working part time as a clerk in a police station. My mom was a SAHM.
They had me two yrs later, my sister 3 yrs later & the rest followed. We had good education, Im sure they had to sacrifice a lot, but they made it work.
Right now the last born is 17yrs old & in matric & they have 3 grandchildren. Im really proud of my parents, they made do with what they had & provided for us
I want 4 kids.... Bcos Im from a big family, I want a big family. My friend in high school was an only child & I used to feel so weird sleeping over at her house coz it was so quiet!!!! I enjoy having a lot of ppl in the house & even now I dnt know how to cook for 2 or 3 ppl, I always make too much. I enjoy the noise, chaos at times & the different personalities!!!
My baby does sleep thru, but not every night. That Iv made peace with, I guess it is to b expected, he's a baby after all
Its summer over hear, not enjoying it though. Today it was 48 degrees, not nice....

HOnestly Nixie, I am scared to death of falling pregnant again. Lots of reasons for that...

KKRose, I certainly understand your point of view - But things have a few to sort themselves out. Yes, some days are hard, but sometimes you just have to decide what is important in life. For instance I do not smoke, we hardly buy any liquor, we don't eat out as much or go clubbing or anything that I consider a waste of money. NEVER had I had the need to let myself or my kids go hungry or without clothes or with out medicine or whatever. And let me tell you, we are certainly not rich or even upper class. We are just a normal, modest everyday family. Sometimes we struggle yes, but mostly, we are taken care of. It is said that God even takes care of the mossies (what are mossies in English by the way) so He will even take better care of His human children.

Sorry I did not mean to rant, I just wanted to make it clear that it IS possible to have 6 kids on a budget.

EP do you think you will have another baby... sory if i sound blunt its just amazing how you cope, i actually admire your strenth!

Its been hectic here at work today, only managed to surf a little on moomie.

I come from a family of 5 kids, I have always sworn to myself that I will never have more than 2 kids, it seems to me it is going to turn out that way.
I always felt the family financial hardship was caused by having 5 kids.

I was almost 6 when my sistr was born. I grew up very lonely, and always wanted a sibling to play with. So I even had an imaginary friend for years. So.... I always said I will have at least 3 kids, close in age. 3 turned into 4, and before I knew it we had 6 kids. My husband is the youngest of 6 kids (all boys) himself. His brother gas 4 kids, his other brother has 4 kids too, so they're all used to big families

Ive always wanted 2 but DH wants 4.

Thing is i love being pregnant and being a mummy. So im not really ruling out baby no. 3
DH has got some convincing to do. Definately not 4.

So will see what happens.
