I wonder y machines cant detect contractions... same thing happened to me!! I was induced, they did it twice coz they didnt bliev me when I said I had contractions.
Power to all the ladies who dnt take pain meds!!!!
I BEGGED for them!!!! Once they realised I wasnt playing & am in pain, the nurse was feeling for them herself & timed them & they were 2 minutes apart & I was only 2cm dialated.
I must say that Ruru's birth really traumatised me, I still get close to tears thinking about it & am really really scared of giving birth again, even though I want 20 kids!!!

How can u tell a baby has a sore throat??

Ep - they cannot just kick you out they have to either give you desent notice or find you a place to stay - have you contacted the rental tribunal?

Juanita - shame girl poor baby - i usually treat at home for a day or 2 as long as they are drinking then go to doc. but seeing that her troat is sore have you tried the lollies?

I dont know how women can do the birth thing without drugs... I need (WANT) my drugs...

Juanita, this may sound strange, but I really don't like newborn sessions - it is my least favorite... We spoek about doing a session, but her dh is otherwize lol, he did not even want a maternity session done. So I honestly don't know yet. All depends on teh dad. I've known him 23 years but yeah, I still don't understand his quirks LOL.

Ah, its so good to hear when woman can have their birhts the way the planned it!!! I also gave birth naturally, NO PAIN MEDS, and wouldnt have it any other way next time round!

Im glad you werent disappointed in yourself when you saw baby Arno!! And wanting another baby so soon. Are you doing the newborn shoot??

Ahhh Juanita, so sorry to hear your baby is not feeling well. Connor always had tonsilitis, an dfinally the ONK decided to take out his tonsil and he also got grommets and had his adenoids removed. THIS improved his general well being SO much!!!

I saw my cousins baby yesterday - he is perfect. SO tiny shame. And all of a sudden I wondered why I cried so much, wishing I can have more babies. I was just mighty glad he was not mine. Late yersterday evening when we just finsihed playing outside, my cousing came out too, saying sh eis so tired and when we went to bed, i was glad it was not me who had to get up every 2 hours.

By the way, when my cousin got to hospital, her contractions were not showing on the machines, even when they broke her water no contratcions showed. So they left her and her dh on their own pretty much, she refused an enema, and internals (she is VERY preuts, what is the english word?) she is extremely shy. So no internals were done... So still no contractions showed when she told her dh to get the nurse as she was feeling pushing contractions and the urge to push and even the machines showed no contractions the nurse discovered she was fully dilated. Luckily her gyea was in the hospital already so she gave birth to Arno who weighed 3.3 kilos, all natural with no pain relief. Just the way she wanted Like me she is too scared of epidurals, and she did not want a c-sect cause she has a netball tour next month - she is a Springbok netball player (yeah our family's pride, the first and only Sprinkbok ever)!

Zodwa, im really glad you decided on having a party, and im soooo glad Ruru enjoyed himself too the fullest!!! You MUST post some pix soon!!!

EP, how can they give you so little notice. surely you have a contract that states that you must be given at least one months notice?? How can they expect you to find a place, pack and move all in one week?? Its absurd!!! And sorry dh, but i think its something you have to worry about! I mean duh, are you just going to figure it out when the people arrive there with their move?? Think hes also scared and worried?!!? GOOD LUCK [Big hug]. Please keep us posted!!

AFM, had a nice relaxing weekend, dh wasnt home most of the time, and when he was i let him sleep in, and allowed him some nap time, can see he is really tired. Yesterday we visited some of my old school friends, and Leandi had such a ball, but just couldnt settle last night, and eventually fell asleep at 10:30!!! And then woke up at 1:30 with a sore throat Now i dont know if i should take her to dr, im soo scared it will turn into tonsilitis again!! Any advice girls??
