When Leandi is with me she is fine. i usually just let her follow me to wherever it is im going. if she is watching her CBeebies then she doesnt always notice im gone, but when she does she usually comes to the kitchen and finds me there. With the daymother its a bit different. Shes alone (only 4 kids) so when she goes to put a baby down for a nap she cant tag along. She just needs to play with one of the other kids when shes not there. Hopefully it will go better now that there is a new maaitjie. Not much that i can do about the situation. Hoping it will get better now that she is starting to walk, and find her independance.

Juno, i still love watching Leandi crawl, especially when she goes in super speed mode when someone is chasing her. Really fun to watch her. Every single milestone is so special. Still keeping my journal and writing down whenever she learns something new.

This morning dh was getting ready for work and he was in the bathroom and she was sitting on our bed. Then she would call him: "PA" then he would stick his head out and say: "YES" and she would start laughing. they did this probably 10 times. was soo flippen cute! Got a little upset when he left but we walked him out and then she was fine. ;)

Seperation anxiety:

Girls, I think Reuben still suffers from it, he just never outgrew it. You know, my other kids had the same thing for a while the otehrs outgrew it, Reuben did not. Jaqi, will cry a little if she sees us leave the room, but there is always someone to keep her company and her mind of it, so I don't know if it would have been different if we were a smaller family, so Juanita, I don't know about your little ones anxiety, but I am sure it is perfectly normal. I've read a while ago that playing simple games like peek-a-boo may help babies understand object permanence :)
Please keep us posted!

Jaqi is still a long way from walking :) She does pull her self up and stand up but she is still very wobbly.

Thanks guys! I know you've all experienced what the start of your baby being fully mobile is like for you as the mom so excuse me going on about it but it's just SO cute! I just melt every time I watch him =)

Juanita I think you may be correct re the walking soon as he has reached the point where he is able to pull himself up to standing on his knees and just loves standing when he is not crawling. Sounds like Leandi's doing very well with the walking and will be running any day!

Whew I would not know what to say about Leandi's separation anxiety. Would be interested to hear what the other moms have to say as Liam will be going to creche twice a week from 18 months and I suspect it may be the same.

Damn Yoza that must be so tiring for you!! I am fortunate enough to have a baby that has slept through since 6 months - 10 - 12 hrs - and remember with a shudder those early days of getting up so often during the night..hopefully she's start soon...

Morning everyone,

Took Leandi for her inoculations yesterday and today she is a bit feverish! :( Hope it doesnt last long and the effects wear of quick quick quick! Hate seeing my baby girl so miserable and not herself.

Other than that, we are all ok. Just getting very tired of this rain!

Leandi really taking to this walking thing like a trooper. Gets so excited when she can walk to you. Does about 5 steps then she wants to start running and falls on her knees. Its so cute.
She is VERY VERY clingy. You cant even leave the room or she starts crying. At daymother the one little boy is not even allowed to go nap or she starts crying. and i mean tears and all!! hartstogtelike huiltjie!!! Really dont know what i can do to show her that she doesnt need to be afraid if shes alone, we ALWAYS come back!

Argh the lying seems so silly now :( Not that big a deal. But it was lying nonetheless and it makes me mad.

hi mummies

Juno: I am so happy for you I know what its like and the feeling you get when you see your lil man crawling. Now the fun and trouble begins enjoy it.

EP: sorry about the cat i on the other hand am not an animal person no cats or dogs but dh has been insisting we get a dog. What did connor lie about its so annoying when kids are not honest. damn your landlord i am also glad we are well past that phase of dealing with them.

Charlotte: I forgot to say i did not go to the moomie meet. I went to church one of my new years resolutions is to go to church more this year.

Buhle is doing great so well that the she has 8 toofies and the 7 just came out with no hassles. I saw two more already out. The only thing she has is an active tummy but not runny. she is growing so well imitating eveyrthing we do. she follows siba all the time.

she is such a drama queen she always has her way. she has such a strong personality and is a bully. she fought with a 5yr old at church cause she wanted the LB boys pear it was so funny but i dont think the mum was impressed with my 10mth old lg

buhle is a bad sleeper daytime she naps only once and wakes evey freekin two hours at night.

Weve only ever had one landlord. this was 8 years ago. then hes daughters husband died and she didnt have anywhere to go so ... he kicked us out. dh said never again, and we were very blessed to be able to buy a house back then. im so happy we did coz there is no way we would be able to buy a house with the economy now!
