I was thinking of Nesquick!!!! Milkshake...

Iv struggled so much with routine for Ruru coz he seems to wake up when he feels like & wake up when he feels like. I tried making him do things at the same time earlier on but he seemed to resist & I gave up!!
Then I figured he'd fall into a routine by himself..... am still waiting!!!
I hear other babies even poo @ the same time each day... not mine.

I made mealie meal porridge for the 1st time for him today. Normally I'd add salt & suger, but I just put butter in there for him. It tasted so bad!! He ate it all though.
I wonder what else I can add in there....

Zodwa, I had 5 othe rkid sto "practice" on LOL! Don't worry, your next child will sleep like that! I FIRMLY believe in ROUTINE and structure. I do believe it goes along way in letting a child kno wwhen to expect what! of course, liek everything else, it does hav eits cons too... for instance my kids WON'T sleep anywhere but their own beds. Even if we visit the in laws, we can expect some trouble with the younger ones to sleep well.

U are right, Im thinking of some Nespray milkshake my father likes buying (not sure if its nespray, am sure Im wrong)

I so wish Ruru cld sleep like that. He does sometimes, but most days he dsnt. U so lucky

Zodwa, I think maybe you're thinking of some other milk, or maybe I am just so behind the times heheheeh but Nespray is powdered full cream cow's milk. No flavours. I will give this to Jaqi, if she is like me and her siblings: we don't like "normal" cows milk. From 12 months plain cow's milk should be fine, you don't have to water it down.

I don't want Jaqi to take a bottle at all, I want to skip the process of weaning her of the breast, only to wean her of the bottle a few months later. Luckily, she sleeps untill th eolder kids have left for school, so I don't have to worry about cutting out a midnight or 4 am feed.

I'll play it by ear and she how she does. If by the end of this week, she still only "snacks" I will buy a spill proof cup (I fin Nubi cups the best) and see how it goes.

The Feb mom's are really quiet. Im just remembering that they were very quiet on Pampers too.... Mayb its a Feb thing

When I go home next month gotta look for Nespray. If I remember properly Nespray has diff flavours right???

Do u think that cows milk must b watered down all the time from oneyear or can I give it to him plain??
He still takes a bottle at night but around 4:30am. He drinks nicely from his sippy cup, have been wondering if he will accept it in the middle of his sleep.

If possible I'll try & take the bottle away from him at one year. I know Im thinking far ahead but time is going so fast its only 3.5 months left till his 1st birthday!!!

Im getting so broody Iv got names for my next baby already!! Got for boy & a girl!!!

Zodwa, I won't be giving her formula, I have not bought a cup yet... Meags bought her a cup when she was still small, but Jaqi is struggling with it a bit. So I want to buy her something she can drink from easier.

If I get something I will most likely give her watered down cows milk, or Nespray. All my kids had Nespray when they were weaned Honestly, I think all these "growing up" milk or stage 3 formulas are a good waste of money, as yiour child should be getting his nutrients from solids by that stage. But that's just me I will still feed her and wean her gradually dropping one feed a week, that way I won't struggle with engorgement and Jaqi will get used to it slowly.
