July 2009 Moms

AFM Struggled the whole day to get onto Moomie hence me posting so late. We had a social at work and we alll wen go karting was so much fun. I came second last by the way its justified though as first I never ever went go karting and second I dont have a driver's license

K is well. She is at creche. Last night we had a great night with her although she slept so late. Took her to bed at 8pm and she just monkeyed around the bed the whole time. Eventually I fell asleep before she did and then she woke me up everytime by giving me sloppy wet kisses Was too cute. Just the day before I was complaining that she has stopped being affectionalte Lol!

Tonight I need to make 12 mini teddies and 5 bigger ones for cakes and cupcakes for saturday. Have an order for a 2 year old birthday. Then its my DH's birthday as well on Saturday and we are having a poker night. So am making a poker cake to match the theme. I have to do the discs and cards tomorrow so its ready to be placed on the cake by friday night

I dont know what to cook for tonight. Weather is cold and rainy in cape town. Thinking of making a lentil cumin soup with french baguette. I am making fish fingers and chips for K tonight. Easy peasy and the cat food is sorted

Skitterling - Thanks to you too. Hope the MS subsides as well. I hated MS with a passion and I really had it bad! Had it up to 18 weeks. I hope yours only last for the first tri if not less

Sumayad - Thanks for looking at the cake pics and commenting. No one helps me L) Lol! I do it only after K goes to be so in the evenings I bake and decorate from 9 until about 11 pm and then on weekends I do it up until 1 in the afternoon. I plan my week based on my orders and I dont take more than what I can handle.

Monique - Happy birthday to your DH! hope Stiaan feels better. Those eye teeth are the worse. K got so sick about 2 weeks ago when hers popped out.

Binks - Wow that is cheap for creche! I reckon here in Claremont Cape Town, they take advatange of us just because its southern suburbs Lol!

Marilu - I also need that Police clearance certificate as I am applying for permanent residence this year. I did not know it takes that long though. Better get my A into G soon
Yay for Migs sleeping better last night! I also am one of those moms who are better moms if I get enough sleep Lol! I cannot handle less than 7 hours

Aaah..it's great that L didn't cry at the swimming lesson! Is the swimming pool heated or indoors?

Marilu re the sleeping, some days are better than others I suppose..last night after getting up for Amber I struggled to fall back to sleep, plus Hubby got up at 4 this morning, so I am struggling to focus on the computer..Its amazing how you can still cope during the day with little sleep!

Pat, had to laugh now, I am the same if we go somewhere without Amber which is not often, but then I feel guilty and have to buy her something..When my parents are here we going to go and catch up on some movies!

About swimming lessons, we started Adam when he was 1 year 2 months in September. With this baby I will start him in March next year as my friend took her girl at 6 months and what a difference in her swimming compared to our children..

Lizel.. I havent got a name for our little boy yet as I want to see his winkie just one more time on Wednesday when I am scanned at 17 weeks. Just want to make sure the WINKIE DIDNT FALL OFF and he became a girl! HA HA HA

AFM.. All good our side...yesterday was L's first swimming lesson where he didnt cry..I was super proud...
re creche...our creche fees are R1900 but the lady has discounted mine to R1500 as L does not eat the food there as they are not fully halaal...
