cinds: i wish i knew, my pediatrician course is only finished next week so ill check her out on saturday
its obvioulsy a bug, duh, but hopefully didint do anything and left again, bugs or viruses come into the body and drift around deciding whether to cause gastro or bronchitis or whatever and maybe it just got beaten and left, but something was going on due to her fevers, but that couldve repelled it... she a doom hero!!!

i havent gotten results, forgot to ask yesterday and if there was something not right then they wouldve phoned but ill hear tomorrow, need more anti-viral...

justine: jolene is sick hey, she even has pox in her mouth down her throat and then its caused some bacterial infection and her mouth is mif, she cannot eat or anything, she is aweful, atleast the fevers have finally broken this morning, they still 37.5 about but not nearly as high as they were...
bardon has about 20 spots now and he is happy and naughty and happy and naughty. he doesnt itch he doesnt moan he isnt fussed at all.
ange is a terrible 3 yr old which moans and bitches and groans all day long. we must watch toy story all day long!!!!

Deja, sorry you are feeling so sick. Hope you get better soon. Ahh princess N must get better quickly. It is quite alarming that she doesnt want to eat. Is she drinking at least? Have you given her rehydrate?

Marijke, is your mom okay? It sounds so eina. You are so clever, the name of the tea in the yellow box is the freshpack tea for babies. I do feel you pay more if it says baby thats why when these 2 boxes are finished, he will be drinking the same tea as us, he is already doing it at school. Happy Happy for B's cousins first birthday. Hope she gets spoilt

Charlene, thanks for that on the fevers. I now understand it more. How is Jolene doing? Is she still spotty? Has Bardon started scratching yet? How is lady Ange doing? Have you gotten your results yet?

i donot play around with fever either and they cannot get brain damamge or suffer from a fever fit, they do not stop breathing and cannot choke unless they eating something. a fever fit will happen if the temperature rises suddenly and then the body temp and core temp are not the same and then it causes convulsions, but if the fever or temp rises gradually within hour then it wont happen, like jolene's temp goes up to 39.6/39.8 and she did not fit, but if it went that high within 30 min she would have, so i always believe in keeping your thermometer at hand...

marijke: aquarium is terribly overpriced but then they have so many animals to feed and costs to carry!!! are you making bardons birthday next sat?

Good day ladies,

I had a meeting this morning and had to ferry my mother around. They came back yesterday. She passed out in beaufort west (they spent the night there) hit her head and cracked a couple of ribs, so I had to take her to the meeting and to the shops. I'm SO tired now.

It's B's cousins first bday today so when she wakes up I will go fetch my mother again and go have some cake at my sisters place.

Congrats on the first steps Lonie! It's amazing how well they walk when mad. My parents also have a house in Yzerfontein so you have to let me know when you are close by!

Vision, B has 2 bottles of 175ml a day and then mid morning I make her tea (or should I say milk with tea) I just use regular Freshpak rooibos since I'm not convinced that spending however much more money just because it says 'baby' is really worth it. She gets more milk than tea and only a tip of a teaspoon sugar.

Had to take B with to the meeting and my mothers friend spent the whole time with B, she was a bit upset. Don't know why meetings are always smack bang in the middle of B's nap time! But she walked for all the old anties.

Nothing much to report this side. The aquarium (first time I went) is possibly not worth the R95 entry fee per person. But we are trying really hard to expose B to as much as possible. We'll try for butterfly world or world of birds next weekend if the weather holds.
