hehe Deja, saw a dr phil show about 'free range' and 'helicopter' moms and there are pros and cons about both ways of parenting. I think a nice balance of both is possibly the way to go

Awww, shame Kiara - loosing a much loved pet is so hard. Our one cat was also poisoned when we still lived in CT. Will never get the picture out of my head of him laying there grrr

All good on my side. B's hair was actually messy and standing upright this morning, was so cute!
We went out with her on Saturday evening and I told hubby if she's not asleep by 9pm we have to leave, so we went... my child is one stubborn sleeper! She wanted to play with her cousins, she even "coloured in" pictures with them, oh and they love her to bits...my MIL phones telling us that Monique has been walking around with a photo of B for a week or two constantly saying how much she misses B, now even her sister Jana started doing it!

Had some sad news before the weekend (possibly why I didn't chat so much on Thursday) have a funeral to go to this afternoon. I wonder if any of you will remember when B was about 5 or 6 weeks old I let her go with my parents alone to visit their friends because the 'oom' was very sick and I didn't want him to die before he saw B, well it's him and he actually saw her again about a week before he went back to hospital and never came out.

Cinds sorry about your medical aid!!! They are the worst. We are on the top option of our medical aid (Motohealth) and we have had to pay so much out of our own pocket for speacialists etc. even though we pay them a fortune each month! Hope you can sort it out!!!

I know it might seem silly but I cried my heart out on friday and I am still heartbroken. My cat didnt come home on Wednesday night or Thursday and we searched for him. On friday my DH found him - he had died. He was poisoned.
He was like my family

Charlene I am so sorry my friend! You have been through such a stressful time. You and hubby should be able to support each other!!! You know the situation best and have to make the decision which is best for you. Like Deja said cant your DH move out it would be easier?

Deja I really dont know how you do it. I dont work on weekends but it is so nice to have my DH home to help with stuff. I cant imagine how stressful it must be and your job is not easy either. Cant you move back to Cape Town? Your DH flys so much he wont miss the Karoo?
I hope you can sort something out. I am sure you want Nienke to grow up with her granny also!
