Morning mommies

I'm exhausted. We still struggled with M's fever last night so eventually we contacted the paed, and took her in so that he can check up on her. It's her nose throat and ears..AGAIN. I can't believe we're still struggling with it!! He said we're going to have to put her on antihistamines until after her 1st birthday, then he's going to do all the allergy tests. The one ear is fine cause all the fluid is draining out of the grommet, the other ear is apparently VERY red and not leaking fluid, but this morning while she was half lying on me (I've been putting her in our bed just to try and get some sleep) and I felt all this sticky stuff so thank goodness all the fluid came out. So that together with the antibiotics will do the trick. The doc said we have to put her on antihistamines cause the fluid in the ears is going to affect her hearing if not sorted out ASAP

I'm so stressed out, I really feel drained physically and mentally. I know I should be glad that she's not seriously sick, but the fact that it feels like she's ALWAYS sick is making me crazy!!!

I phoned the creche yesterday to ask why they didn't phone me when she was sick, to make a long story short...they apologized, say they did check her temp (yeah right) and promised to phone me next time if she looks like she's feeling shitty.

OK..now I've really complained enough today!! Focus on positive stuff..it's FRIDAY And the weather is going to be ok..and we havent got any plans for the weekend so we can actually relax and do nothing

Justine, I think it will be fine if you give it now and then, but like Vision said, the salt contents might be a problem if you give it every day. That said..Mignione has alot of salt in her diet cause she eats the food that we eat

vision: you would have a heart attack if you saw what bardon eats. last night was fish fingers and 2 minute noddles with spice on, previous night chicken ala king with hords of garlic, he LOVES garlic bread and can eat about 3 pieces from those long breads.
i do not make his food different to ours and i do not lower the garlic or salt in our food just cause the kids eat with.

i get my car back again today, just got to figure out how to get there to go fetch it...
can you ladies believe my husbands parents have gone away again for a week, this time without even bothering to say good bye to the kids, i see he walked in with the bags on work money and stuff last night, so his parents are gone again, which suits me, but hell, they just came back from a 3 months vacation, and he also supposedly earns a salary through my husband even though he pays more, pfffff, but barno cant even take leave now, we couldnt go to that wedding remember that we wanted to go up to midrand cause they wanted to go, well they never went!!!!!

Justine I am not sure about the meals. If he is eating proper food with you then I dont see why not now and again. The only problem would probably be the high salt content that is in these meals sometimes?

Jana N is sooo cute. It is great that she loves being outside. R is the same but I worry about the cold cause she is a bit sick.

Marilu oh no man poor little M. How is she today? Did you manage to get the fever down. 40 is very high they should have phoned you immediately. R's creche phones me when it is 38. How are you doing - are you coping ok?

Marilu, Shame man, strongs to you. I agree with Charlene, she is still so small to be getting sick so much.

This day has been so long, Im exhausted, so not looking forward to making supper. Just want to bath and relax. Do you think its okay to give Kyle some of that ready made meals from McCains like lasange or cottage pie. Went to teh factory shop on Tuesday and bought loads of meals but not sure if its okay to give it to him?
