Geniet jou mini-holiday! xx

Nayeela so sorry to hear that Numnum didn't work out..hopefully you'll get the license sorted soon!
So relieved to hear that K is doing better!

Albei werk goed.

Nayeela, Yes you do need what they call a certificate of acceptability and you can apply with your local authority. You have to comply with the conditions as set out per the R918.. I have the standard with me and can email to you..also think you can download it from the internet.

Thanks Ethel, hope you have a nice weekend too..

hectic Lonie!

Is it true then that I do need a license? maybe you can shed some light on the requirements for me to be able to operate.

Marilu, so hulle mag so bietjie water drink?

Nayeela, glad its going better with K.. I am a food technologist and hygiene and food factories is my speciality..must say K will not get sick from you handling the food, cause you get used to someones bugs, thats why you also dont get sick from your Hubby or mothers food.. Its very scary to see what goes into food, there are so many hidden ingredients that people dont even know about..hopefully with the new labelling laws all that will change.. I will trust some home made food more than some of these food factories.. SCARY stuf..!

Hi everyone,

Sorry to only come on here so late.

Lizel - Congrats on the heartbeat! I am so happy for you! here's to a healthy happy 8 months or less! :)

Marilu - Sorry to hear about the troubles with the post office regarding your clearance. Hope you manage to sort it out.

Monique - Enjoy your leave.

Binks - How is vanya doing with teh bottle feeding? Not cool what happened with the attorneys

Ethel - Hey there! Thanks for your concerns

Skitter - Rather be safe than sorry when it comes to food and its important to be controlled as I never buy food for K from someone who is not controlled or someone that I dont know personally. The thing is I will be cooking and freezing so there needs to be proper controls in place although I can assure you my kitchen is definitely very clean and K never had any issues with the food I amke  however I cannot take that risk with other people's childran as it only takes 1 incident to get me in trouble.

Ok so by now all of you are aware of why I am not going through with NumNum :) Lol!

Back to K, she saw the paed yesterday who said she has a very bad throat infection. She changed her antibiotics too and gave her demazin for her nose, panamor for the fever at night. Initially she wanted to admit K so they could ensure she as not vomitting the meds but then she said that if I can administer all teh meds as she prescribed and K does not vomit, then I can do it from home but I must bring her in to be admitted the first time she vomits. Afterwards K had to do a test for RSV. She took a long cotton swab and inserted it oin her nose and down her throat. Totally traumatic for both me and K! Anyways we are waiting for results although the paed does not think she has RSV.

K had 2 dosage fo antibiotics already now and she has not vomitted since1 Thank god! last night she was doing a lot better1 she even gave us a little dance! Lol! no fever in the night as well although this morning she was still very very miserable. I think that she is on the mends now and she should be fine after the long weekend.
