9 months is the measles vaccination. The prevanar is an extra injection for Pnemmococcal (sp)diseases (not everybody gives this to their child becasue you need to pay for it) MMR is at 15 months.

At 12 months its the Hep A and the chicken pox vaccination.

Justine i think u need to check with the clinic or in his card cause if he had it before then there would be note int he card, jesse has the stickers in hers to say she got the prevanar before.

B spent 5 hours on saturday with my parents because hubby and I went shopping (bought b's bday present) she has hectic teething nappies but she's learnt so many new things this weekend and is standing on her own for longer periods of time.

Kyle also got 2 shots, one measles and im not sure what the other one was for.

Sumayad, Calpol should be fine. Kyle didnt have a fever afterwards. Only got sick the week after. They say they can get the fever etc 7-10 days after the shot.

Cinds, that one that you bought for R 600, was that for chicken pox? I have to buy that one at 12 months but on the clinic card it says we could get it at 9 months already.

We went a week ago.. We wouldve had the chicken pox at 9 months on its own but because of the measles outbreak, they gave his first MMR too so poor boy had two injections when I was only expecting the measles one.

Happy Mothers Day to everyone for yesterday.. I missed my Mom terribly but the day was filled to the brim with all our other "Moms".. DH has a Biological Mom and an adoptive Mom. I have a step mom and an aunt who is like a Mom so we were busy for early morning tea, breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. Hectic!! Anyway, they all enjoyed.. Would have liked a little more family time to celebrate me being a Mom but as I say I am truly blessed to have so many special Woman in my life..

Yes she got 2 shots but the one we had to purchase for R600 and the other was the measles. If Z didn't get the Prevnar before then it would only be one shot! I will have to dbl check on her card for u though

Hi Sumaya, so sorry that Z wasn't feeling gr8 Friday night. How is he now? Maybe its his top teeth?

J got her prevanar and measles for her 9 month and the week after got another measles cause of us going to mozam.
