Please tell me your success story, as I need some motivation! Some days I feel as though I loose hope.

Tiagosmom the treatment varies with each case as it depends on the cause of the disease and if yours if infact hormone related.

If you have extra body hair, have weight issues then I recon yours is hormone related, but there are women that just have polycycsic ovaries. Not so sure what the treatment is for that.

I suggest you start treatment now especially if it is hormone related. You might not want to put off tyring as it may take longer with PCOS, but I am sure your doc will advise you.

Julz, maybe you will know this. What do they usually treat Pcos with, I saw my urogolist yesterday and he scanned to check my bladder and kidneys and I hadnt even mentioned the pcos to him and he picked it up. He said it was quite bad as I had 6 follicles in my left ovary. I am going to see the specialist on 4 August but I was wondering what he is likely to treat with. Also do you think I should only start on the treatment next year when we actually want no2 or should we start trying sooner?

I guess the only way of knowing if it will be better, is to wait until this little monkey is born...

Tanz while you are pregnant the hormones that cause endo are not present so yes your body takes a nice break from endo for that time and even afterwards if you breastfeed etc. Pregnancy was bliss for me as my endo and bladder disease really settled down.

Once your periods start after the birth the endo may very well flare again.

I had a remarkable FS operate on my endo and the relief was incredible and I managed to fall pregnant with meds as I had another condition too.

A good surgery where they cut out the diseased areas is your best bet, however they did say that there are always little areas that can flare up a bit. I had a cyst removed recently and my gynae says there is no obvious endo at this time, but I know that when I have my cycle I do feel some pain so there may be small patches of disease.

I have endo and carrying our first child now!

Julz - Is it true that some people say that a pregnancy sometimes takes away endo??
